drofdunk.. yes it must have been vanderbilt high school cause i dont want to have to admit that he is the best best basketball player we've had here at vandy in a while!

and ur right.. they only let bright people in... they even require athletes to be pretty bright.. thats a shocker compared to some schools..!

i doubt he'll even get a mention in the student paper this week.... despite signing the new deal

The topic of this thread is "Heart Breaking News" but I consider it "Heart Warming News". Good luck to DL for the coming season...but only for 78 of the 82 games. ;)

Mark my words, he will make this team and be a quality bench guy.

For some reason we just couldn't use him to his strengths, but he has some skills.

If he make the team, I doubt he get that much playing time behind Marion, this guy is a soldier. But I wish him the best, just not against the Rockets.

I'm not sure what a legit rumor is, but I don't think the Cato-for-Marion ones would count. I remember when we were discussing trading for Marion a couple of years back and knowing it would take a lot more than we had to offer -- certainly more than Cato.

    Career avg's:

    17.5 mpg / 5.2 ppg / 4.3 rpg / 0.6 apg / 20% 3pt FG%

    Yep, sure fire HOF numbers.

If you can honestly say you're glad the DL left the rockets , you aren't a true fan....Langhi was a baller.....sure, you're saying he's "Getting anotherrrr chance" but you know that the suns will keep his ass on the bench too..if he's gonna shine tha pine, it might as well be in a rocket's uniform...

As a Kentuckian and a guy who met DL at the pool after his rookie year, I would like to wish DL all the best. I think the Rockets screwed him (foolishly) and will regret not giving him more of a consistent opportunity. This guy is a smart, athletic shooter with size - those are commodities which are rare and in demand, and the Suns are better for picking him up.

    Craig Ehlo anyone?

The Rockets past is littered with players who performed better elsewhere.

Not everyone is a perfect fit for Rudy's team.

Langhi probably would have gotten more of a look if he did not "Rat out" the organization by saying that he was not hurt and they should play him or trade him when he started last season on IR.

IMHO, if he is quiet, he would have gotten the minutes that TMO got.

Wasn't 'best' for us either. Airballs don't help much.

Maybe he'll calm down in Phoenix.

Some positive support on Dan's big move to the Suns.

I thought Dan Langhi was a decent pick-up for the Phoenix Suns. Langhi is 6-11 and can play anywhere from power forward to shooting guard off the bench. It didn't seem like he got much of a chance with the Houston during his first two years in the league -- but that could change with the Suns. Don't get me wrong, Langhi isn't going to erase any memories of Charles Barkley, but somebody has to be the 11th man. He may as well be good.

Hopefuly for Dan's sake, I hope he proves all of his critics wrong.
