LOL, yeah, Im sure he wanted to take that comment back the second it slipped. The nanny sounds hot...I liked the description of the bikini.
I think that it's really all about whether you admit to using, not if you give full disclosure on how much or other specifics. I'd have to think most people knew that Andy marginalized and wasn't fully truthful when he said he only did it once to rehab. But he did admit that he used, and apologized. Really, that's all the public wants. People want to make the Bonds thing about race, but it was really more about the fact that he insulted everyone's intelligence every time he went off about never using. We know he used, and it's galling when he denies it. It was the same thing with Pete Rose. And now, Roger is hanging himself by the same noose. If he had taken Andy's route, or even if he said he wasn't going to dignify the report with comment, I highly doubt this would be such a big deal right now. Evan
I disagree. We're all talking about how believable Andy is. His statement keeps changing. He absolutely postively spun it to seek favor. Turns out he was lying.
ROFLMAO....you do care...you are defending Clemens like no tomorrow.... Andy Pettite is way more credible......he admitted that McNamee injected him a few times, but then admitted that he injected himself in 2004...different instances entirely. DD
ive never heard as many camera clicks as when one of roger's attorneys started whispering in his ear.
No he didn't he said that McNamee injected him...... Then under oath.....which is vastly different he admitted to more usage but not more from McNamee, on his own. Roger dragging his wife into this is despicable..... DD
Seems kind of funny that everyone is saying Roger is lying, and the others are telling the truth, even though he is sticking to his story and the others keep changing theirs. I also find it a little odd that if Roger and Andy were so close, how could they only have had 2 conversations about HGH over the course of their friendship.
Thank goodness DaDakota isn't a judge. This is Pettitte's statement when the Mitchell Report came out... the one that drew praise from some. It was obvious then that Andy wasn't telling the truth ... he was just admitting the time he got caught for. <HR> In 2002 I was injured. I had heard that human growth hormone could promote faster healing for my elbow. I felt an obligation to get back to my team as soon as possible. For this reason, and only this reason, for two days I tried human growth hormone. Though it was not against baseball rules, I was not comfortable with what I was doing, so I stopped. This is it -- two days out of my life; two days out of my entire career, when I was injured and on the disabled list. I wasn't looking for an edge. I was looking to heal. I have the utmost respect for baseball and have always tried to live my life in a way that would be honorable. If I have let down people that care about me, I am sorry, but I hope that you will listen to me carefully and understand that two days of perhaps bad judgment should not ruin a lifetime of hard work and dedication. I have tried to do things the right way my entire life, and, again, ask that you put those two days in the proper context. People that know me will know that what I say is true.
I thought you said you wanted the truth. Andy said he only used HGH once in his life...as a result of an injury because he wanted to get back on the field. He lied.
McNamee is getting called out for all of his lies, but Roger is not making a case for himself though.
