Hardin is looking SOOOO hard at Roger as he speaks, almost like he is trying to give him the words to say. DD
Now Roger is saying "he doesn't remember the conversation about saying his wife using HGH" And he is talking about his wife reading an article about HGH.....ROFLMAO.... They are weaving a plan....."I never said my wife did HGH" WTF ever. DD
If John Rocker goes under oath, can we expect this same committee to call him and Bud Selig to a similar hearing?? That would have much further reaching implications than this. I can not believe this has turned into what it's turned into. I'm listening to this and I can't understand how in the world this is happening.
I feel bad for Roger. This totally sucks for him and his family. Its too late to admit to it now, but he really should have just admitted when the Mitchell report first came out.
I'm anxiously awaiting Congress' calling a few dozen rappers, rockstars & actors for hearings on rampant illegal drug use in their professions. 'Cause this is all about keeping kids off drugs.
The one guys interrogation was ridiculous. Roger Clemens says that Andy "misremembers" (which we all know is BS). Then the interregator says, "Why would Andy lie?" even though Roger never said he believed Andy lied. Almost made it sound like the interregator was just trying to create inflamatory remarks from Roger about Andy as if he was a tabloid journal reporter. Totally out of line and unprofessional. I think all the other congressional members have handled the situation well.
Ummm, I may be going out on a limb here but the truth about taking HGH or not? Alot of people feel sorry for Roger here, he probably should have just admitted it like Andy did and moved on, but his ego seems to have gotten the best of him in this case imo. Probably shouldn't lie to congress, even if their act is just a dog and pony show...
If they were honestly concerened about that they'd be bringing in league executives from the Rangers and the A's and the rest of MLB to talk about the infiltration of steroids in the game. This is reduced to being about one guy. We generally reserve courts for that.
Then say that it's about the money. Or just come out and be totally honest: it's about grandstanding in an election year.
