I can tell you specifically I went to Club Tampico Baya in the fall of 1997 and line danced drunk behind the bar while doing shots of tequila. I couldn't tell you if that was in September or October.
If I'm going to testify under oath about something like that, I'm going to be damn sure I remember every last detail. And I probably would if I'm the sort to keep bloody guaze and syringes for years.
You were still in your prime you idiot. You took roids and hgh to keep your game up, stop with all those accollades
Could it be that he used steroids to remain consistent and stay at a similar body size rather than go into a decline and lose muscle?
Thats easy for you and me to say until it comes time to remember those details. This whole mess has had "sometime in 2000 or 2001", etc. throw around and not critiqued. I don't lend much weight to a 1 month discrepancy.
For someone who was so intent on protecting himself, you think he would have a better recollection on something that would be so easily confirmed.
But the dates matter here. He's saying it was after the Tampa series in particular that Roger stopped using. It was in the Tampa clubhouse that it happened. Roger's "abscess" didn't happen until after this alleged confrontation in Tampa. So it does not coincide with Mac's timeline of when he stopped giving Roger steroids. It does coincide with when medical records show Roger got a B-12 shot. That is relevant to me.
Also, originally Mac said that Roger provided him with the steroids and the syringes used. Now, Radomski says he provided Mac with the steroids. I'm confused. Mac was very clear that it was Roger who brought the stuff to him to inject him with.
I'm reading the blog on ESPN, and it says they questioned McNamee again about why he didn't tell Clemens that he was telling the truth on the tape, and McNamee said if he had known it was going to be taped he would have. Umm, didn't he say at the beginning of the hearing that he knew it was taped?! -Ok wait I get it...he knew it was taped but didn't know it was going to be aired. Well thats just plain stupid...why else would they have taped it. Besides, if he had told Clemens that he was telling the truth then Hardin would have never released the tape.
yeah..he did say that. his testimony is all over the place. not that it matters. if there were closing arguments in a real legal proceeding, an attorney would tear this apart. if there were space for cross-examination, an attorney would tear this apart. but there's not. it's a public-opinion trial given legitimacy by congress with no rules of evidence or any set process.
I don't think so. The Armed Forces doc the committee had evaluate the MRI said that he couldn't be "definitive" as to whether the abcess came from B12 or Steroids, though it was unlikely to be from B12. There's a chance, so he has to be clear about that. As to whether there was an abcess or not - I can assure you that would not be a question on an MRI. No way it would be confused or unclear in comparison with a strained muscle. I can say that I know what I'm talking about in that regard. Evan
Actually, he said if he known that the tape was going to be released to national media, not that it was being made.
I agree - find this hard to believe. I watched some of this from right before 10 in the morning until about 10:45. From what I saw, I think it is obvious that both Clemens and McNamee have lied about various things. I think it is also obvious (blatantly for the most part) that there are members of Congress who hate Clemens and there are members of Congress who are riding his jock like you wouldn't believe (like the Davis guy and especially that Burton dude - "He's a titan!" - LOL).
