if she were making such jokes, i'd say she had forfeited the right to my respect.

HOW DARE THE DEMOCRATS POLITICIZE KENNEDY'S DEATH FOR THE PURPOSE OF PUSHING HEALTH CARE REFORM?

*politicizes Kopechne's death for the last 40 years to attack Kennedy*

RJ, the two incidents are not remotely similar. in one a 17 year old high school girl ran a stop sign. in the other a 37 y/o US senator, scion of the most powerful political family in america, got drunk, drove off a bride w/ his paramour, left her to drown, not reporting the accident for 8 hours, relying instead on his political flacks to cover up for him.

frankly, this whole line of argument is beneath you.

It hasn't. Mary Jo Kopechne had been an RFK staffer. That night she was at a reunion of RFK campaign workers. Ted Kennedy was driving her home when he drove off the bridge.

Interestingly, it has also never been conclusively proven that Ted was intoxicated, although I find it to be likely.

I do wonder that if he had been intoxicated, how he would have gotten out of the car.

But of course, he cares so much about her memory he can't help but casually call her a strumpet who jumps into bed with powerful men.

I think I enjoyed the picture posting responses to asso's threads rather than yall actually trying to reason with the un-reasonable.

What does a newspaper vendor say to a guy he hates about the price of the daily paper?

    "Chap, a quid, dick."

    basso,

Honest question here... Are you only an ass on this bbs, behind the relative anonymity of a keyboard, or are you this much of a tool in real life?

If it's the former, whatever... it's really not funny. This one is actually pretty tasteless, and you know it is. There may be a few people here who share your sentiments secretly, or they only tell those that they know share the same views... but so far, none have come out in support yet. Maybe we should just chalk it up to being a weekend.

If it's the latter, how do you feel about everyone you know - anyone who has ever worked with you in any capacity, your wife, your family members, people you claim as your friends - how do you feel about them knowing that you're this pathetic? Do they feel bad for you? Do they try and help? Or do they just tolerate you and let you rant in isolation - kind of like the way some people treat that weird uncle or grandfather that they leave in the corner during the holidays? Either way, it's pretty sad. You need some help. Maybe you should take a little time off.
