A promotion, a tease for desparate fans...what's the harm in making the archived games free? Seriously? The league don't make enough money you have to pay for old games??

    International fans screwed once again!

i'm willing to pay to watch those "old" games, but to be able to watch'em you must subscrive to a US cable TV offer, impossible to do for international fans

Yep bavka is pretty good, the games are up pretty quickly, and our own R2K delivers top quality torrents. I just really like getting that feeling of watching a game without knowing the score, a live experience if you will. (As close as i can get anyway)

I've tried waiting to download the torrents, and there are websites with spoiler free results so that i wouldn't know the score, but still i found myself waiting a couple of days to catch a game, meanwhile the Rockets have already played another one.

When the LP archives were free, it was great because the games were up right away so i could watch them as soon as i got home from work, now that they are charging again, i'm screwed.

Anyways, working on chipping in on someone's LP account, fingers crossed.

I'm happy to watch CCTV5, but those games are live and i'm at work.

I've just sent a letter to NBA.com, it won't do much, but if all Intl fans pull together, then perhaps League Pass Broadband can be made available to everybody...worth a shot.

Being an international user it allows me to pay to watch the games on the site or get a season pass. Just go to http://www.nba.com/broadband/league_pass_intl.jsp

You could use a proxy but that's just a b**** to go through. Someone should take one for the team and see if they IP check after you sign up and pay or if they only check IPs on the original signup.

(my guess is that they constantly check IPs every time you start to view a game which means you would need a working international proxy every time you try to watch)

I used to live in France. You can order Satellite and pick up the NBA channel...it's titled NBA+ "NBA Plus". It's not perfect, but it's still pretty nice in terms of game coverage.

Are you sure? I think you need the TV subscription, the FAQ's state that LP Broadband is not available as a stand alone product, it comes with the tv package....

I'm positive, have been doing it for the last few games. If you just want to try for a one day pass you can make sure it works for you.

If you're from a country besides the US/Canada, it'll let you pay for broadband alone on the international site. The way it works is that it scans your IP Address when you try to watch a game. If you're from the US/Canada, it won't let you access anything on the international broadband site and you'll have to go through the regular league pass site which does require the tv package.

I have the league pass and live in NJ, so all the local games are blacked out. If anybody not living in this area want to exchange the access to the broadband, or anybody wants to share the access (and share the cost a little :D ), please shoot an email to slamdunk200808@yahoo.com.

    Cheers.
