dangg he hasn't played basketball since march, hopefully soon he gets back to basketball and gets in his zone.. and he wants mike james too!
talked about game 7 says the homecourt helps... layed down to dallas last year after they started strong...he promises next year they're coming back to get homecourt and take it from there. can't get away from baseball...plays softball in pearland twice a week... if they would have made a run to the playoffs he would have been able to come back and play last year he didn't feel the need to risk it since they were out of it anyways... for all the people he's fine and he's playing softball twice a week. he played with david wesley last night on luther head: started out the year extremely well. when he started making mistakes and coach got to coaching him it got in his head a little... he's a great competitor. had the opportunity to prove himself...a good guy and a good kid, we'll see what happens in training camp. rafer alston: skip is a more uptemp guy who can push the ball, that's when we're at our best. did a great job of that. defensively in the west there are a lot of big pgs who are stronger then him but he held ok. he's a great guy to play with. has a great mindset to get everyone involved and you can't help but want to play with someone like that. mike james: he could fit with the team next year..we missed his competitiveness this year...his ability to score and what he brings night in and out...he thinks if he does come back coach could fit him in with rafer.
Interesting... -Played softball with Wesley the other day, but when asked what's gonna happen with Wesley..."doesn't know. Didn't talk to him about it." His hesitation seemed to say he doesn't expect Wesley to be back, or at least not as a starter. -His thoughts on Luther Head were also less than sterling. He liked what Luther brought to the table, and said he's a competitor, but thinks things got into his head a little bit when coaches were on him trying to fix problems with his game. Said we'll see what happens when it comes time for training camp, if Luther can still play with the vets. On Mike James, could he fit in? "I think he could. We definitely missed him...his ability to score and defensive presence. We missed that. If it does happen, I think Coach will find some way to fit both of those guys [MJ and Rafer] in."
Said he's definitely a guy they missed with his intensity, and thinks coach would find a way to make it work with James and Rafer on a team. Well, it wasn't a "no comment" or anything negative about him...Didnt sound like any hidden animosity or anything.. *or yeah, what the previous guy said *
about the draft...caller recommends t-mac going to the draft to work his magic and try to get us the number one pick like steve francis did..he says the gm will handle it. says carney is a heck of a talent...he is working out with him and his trainer...very athletic has a lot of upside...great length and a great spot-up shooter...working on him creating his own shot because in college he didn't exploit that he said he's telling him spot-up shooting won't get him that far in the nba at his position.
Carney working out with TMAC's trainer, likes his upside, has size, wants him to develop his own shoot instead of being only a spot up shooter Now talking about playoffs
Commenting on Lebron, how great he's been in the playoffs. Interviewer to Tmac: "It reminds me of...a lot of the things YOU DO!" Nice ass kissing
asked if there are any good free agents this year that the team wants? says they're looking at a guy like bonzi wells, a tough perimiter defender, mike james is out there... that's a couple names for you... would you make a phone call to recruit a guy like bonzi wells or whoever? he says absolutely, he wants to win.. he'll put a call in to help..he thinks yao and him being unselfish guys makes people want to come here but ultimately it's about the dollars. now matt jackson is interviewing him because of technical problems... again about carney...same stuff...has drive to be a great player... says teams like dallas and san antonio have depth on the rockets but ultimately they can be on that level if they are healthy.
man he makes me so happy wen i hear him talk like that, anyways yes everybody is overrating scott padgett, man he had like 3 good games for us, rest he was invisible, and he did NOTHING in the playoffs except for that layup and that tip in
Well nevermind, Bonzi would give us more natural height for the SG spot. JVG won't start a rookie at the 2. And certainly not Luther Head. My issues with Bonzi is he's not a 3 point shooter and he's ugly.
Tmac and JVG seem to be on the same page when asked about team needs, so when he says bonzi is the kind of guy they want i believe they will go after him first with the full MLE. plan B will be to sign MJ who already said we are his first choice. i think bonzi's performance against the spurs earned him more from sacto than the MLE. we might just see MJ and padgett back with the rockets next season. we can draft carney and call it a summer. yao-stro-deke jho-pad-hayes tmac-bogans carney-head alston-mj
When there's a will, there's a way. We all thought Stro would get lots more than the MLE, even though he sucks, everyone thought there was no way we could get him.
