i think he meant pure class during his stint with the rockets this season on his situation of not playing. Not his whole career. I agreed. Steve will always show boat but if it's enough to get the crowd and our bench into the game then so be it. Who here doesn't like his blocked dance? If he hadn't block it, i would still be sitting in my couch after shane first block on the play.
When you characterize a player you can't exclude 99% of their career. This stint has only been a few weeks while his track record goes back for an entire decade. I am a Steve fan but I am not ignorant of the fact that he has proven to be uncoachable at times and a troublemaker on occasion during the course of his NBA career. You have to live with your decisions and actions. People don't forget things, especially when you are in the spotlight.
Did Francis say that he would even play someone one on one full court if he had to do that to earn time? I would love to see Steve vs. Rafer.
I was alluding to his behavior since coming back to Houston. He's been pure class and has handled himself great. Do you disagree with this? As far as his past behavior, everybody's got skeletons in their closet. I didn't say he was perfect. On the other hand, the same Steve Nash you say is "pure class" likes to trip and kick other players when he gets burned or falls to the ground. But since it's Nash, we can just chalk that up to his love of soccer, right?
Stop arguing about nothing. I never said I know Adelman. But I do have a sense about the situation. Of course play on the court is what counts but if you can't get on the court to play and that's what you want then why not try to find out what exactly it is the coach wants from you. Is that so difficult to understand. If you disagree fine but quit making an issue out of it. Geez the stupidity of some people.
This is sports not cheerleading pal. You name the classiest player you can think of in the history of the game and I will find examples like the kicking and tripping of Nash. Yes, Nash is one of the classier players in the league, both on and off the court. And, yes, I do agree that Steve has been extremely classy and positive about his situation thus far this season but I still would not describe him as pure class given his history. That has a totally different connotation than "Steve has been classy for the first several weeks of this season".
Use the word stupidity and expect me not to argue... hah! Since you are taking it to that level (immature) then your argument was and is still stupid, stupid!
I used my DC to record this, quality is not that good, I'm waiting for a better version. <embed src="http://player.youku.com/player.php/sid/XMTMxOTIxMDA=/v.swf" quality="high" width="450" height="372" align="middle" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"></embed>
LOL your post are not even that stupid. It's just you want to argue about a non issue which I find annoying. So post on about nothing and enjoy yourself.
You're reading way too much into those few words. I didn't realize we have to provide a bio going back 10 years to comment on the current status of a player. In that case, everytime somebody talks about T-Mac, they have to mention the problems he had with Sam Mitchell in Toronto or how he quit on his Orlando team thereby earning the nickname Me-Mac. I just don't think it's logical or rational to do so unleass we're writing a detailed biography. It's funny how you said nothing about the comments below: Steve sacrificed more money and guaranteed playing time to come to Houston and has accepted a lesser role for a greater chance at winning. So Charles saying something to the effect that he hasn't learned to play is factually incorrect. Everytime he has gotten a chance to play this season he has played well and, more importantly, so has the team
Your initial post on this topic was the non-issue. It was meaningless to harshly criticize Francis for not talking to Adelman about playing time when what really matters is what he does on the court. Francis had the right attitude from the beginning. Wow, I did enjoy myself... thanks for the suggestion.
Why is steve nash referenced on this website so much?????? SCREW NASH!!!! And personally I think he is overrated and will never win a championship even with the team of great athletes that he has.
Different topic but nice stat line from Steve Novak against the 66ers: http://www.nba.com/dleague/playerfile/steve_novak/game_by_game_stats.html
Kenny mentioned that Rudy was probably the worst coach for Steve because Rudy was a great veterans coach cause he gave your space and put it on you to work hard on your own. Kenny mentioned that Horry and Cassell understood that and put in their hard work. I also liked how they showed Stevie crossing him over in the old footage!
