If you have nbatv you should record it and watch these games. These performances were truly clutch, hence they named the team clutch city This is the true origin of that name.
"Clutch City" came from the Suns Western Con. finals 93 94 when " chock city "(after blowing the two home games) became "Clutch City" when the Rockets went to the Suns and the rest is history.
Where is lin dropping 29 against OKC or lin's 38 against the spurs.. NOW those games are clutch performances.
1995, a.k.a. Houston's second title? I was a 16y old kid then, when getting up at 3 AM to watch NBA was unheard of in among my friends. I still can't forget Nick the Brick who missed four consecutive free throws in first game of the finals and Orlando not fouling Houston with 3 point lead at end of the regulation. It seemed like the wheels fell off for Orlando after that game and Houston won easily the next three games.
Man, the NBA has changed so much. Rockets currently running an ultra-big line-up in overtime Rodney McCray Robert Reid Cedric Maxwell Ralph Sampson Hakeem Olajuwon
i am recording all the games now and if people want ill upload them in a compact file size.. maybe ill put them on you tube and embed them to make it easier
They would show the Orlando game duing Texans game. Not complaining, I'm grateful we get some NBA TV love. IJS..... Oh well. DVR anyway!
Love that lineup. I remember Maxwell's old basketball card in this stats game I used to play--all he would do is draw fouls.
