Since this thread still has a little life here's another update. I spoke with a lady at the NBA yesterday about half-time and post-game shows. She said that NBA policy is that the feed should be switched at half-time to NBA.COM and post-game shows aren't covered. I asked her why NBA League Pass subscribers via digital cable got to see Hakeem's half-time ceremony and DirecTV didn't. To my surprise she said she was going to check on that to see why digital cable didn't switch to NBA.COM also, because they were SUPPOSED to! I told her they were really giving the fans an inferior product by taking this stance. Seems to me just common sense that a majority of people who want NBA League Pass are doing so to follow a team they moved away from, for whatever reason. It naturally follows that you want to get the hometown broadcast INCLUDING half-time and post-game. I can't believe the myopic attitude and reasoning of these people. As you will all notice they are holding true to form for the Portland game. I urge EVERYBODY with League Pass to both e-mail and call the NBA to express your displeasure. Calling DirecTV doesn't serve as much good, apparently, but the more people the fans bother and pester about the inferiority of the NBA product we are being sold the better chance we have of getting it improved to we the fans want.
