I agree morey does think that far ahead, i guess what i meant was i was surprised he'd actually speak about something so far ahead because it would mean he's thinking about a big trade to make it happen. Usually Morey doesn't leak out that kind of info so far ahead. If he gets rid of tmac and others in a trade, that's alot of money right there, more than enough to draw a star, so it means he'll get back a bad contract, which i think he said he's willing to do...but i can't see him getting rid of tmac AND both scola and landry, we'd get robbed in a deal like that. I''m guessing he trades tmac and includes landry so the other team will bite. Then let's scola walk to free up more money to sign another FA role guy. Thsi is assuming we get back a big man like Bosh. I guess he could go for a SG instead, but it makes less sense to get a big name SG if he wants Trevor to be the third option. There wouldn't be enough minutes to go around at the 2/3 spots, so i think the target is a big man to pair up with Yao.
I don't know. I would think that any team (no matter which all-star we trade for) where Ariza is the third scoring option would not be loaded with offensive weapons, if you know what I mean. Unless he shows significant improvement, which is quite possible over the season.
i agree, but apparently morey thinks it's possible....we keep looking at all kinds of scenarios, but we need to look at bargain deals only, since that's what morey seems to like. He trades smaller names for a big name, picks late draftees who have big potential, signs cheaper FAs who have the chance to become great values...that being said i think he'll trade a few of ours guys for "big name" who can do more than what his salary reflects, probablyhave to take back some big contracts, but they'll prob expire in 2-3 yrs.
The 790 radio lineup has improved immensely. The guy who's on after Matt and Adam from 10-12 is very good. And their callers seem to be smarter in general as well.
I admit, I listened to the "mighty" guy this afternoon as well... and I enjoyed him... for a while. He seemed to enjoy beating a dead horse like DD today but I survive listening to him every game  so I imagine I will tune in again.
