Baqui, the best places to watch the games are at either Stout (33rd or 34th St.) or one of the the two Bounce's (E. Village or UES).

Thanks for all the advice and I've been to Times Square for the ball drop so its no big deal for me. I'm not sure what I will be up to for New Years so it will largely be up to the friends I'm visiting. I will probably be staying in Park Slope with a friend but will probably be getting together with another with some friends on Friday Dec. 28th at the Brooklyn Brewery in Williamsburg after 3PM. I hear they have some pretty good pint deals.

Other than that not too sure what my plans are the rest of the time.

I believe Almu is from NYC. You should go there and give him a knock on the head.

I've been to Bounce before, and it was pretty nice. They have those tall massive beer taps, which is neat. Also liked the gourmet food, which was unusual for a sports bar.

and while you're at it, ask him who he thinks was the better player, MJ or Hakeem.

Wow, I'll also be in NYC from the 28th-2nd. Didn't want to be anywhere near Times Square on NYE, but did want to do something fun for me and the wife. Anyone else have any good NYE recommendations?

Also looking for some good restaurants - good pizza places, etc.

When I went to NYC, we ate pizza at Luigi's on either 8th avenue. It is close to the Ed Sullivan Theater where Letterman does his show. Really good pizza.

Shake Shack is cool, I walk past that place every day and there's always a long line- even on rainy days. =/

It's pretty good I must admit, but if you want a REAL GOOD burger, hit up BURGER JOINT at Le Parker Meridien hotel. Freaking Awesome!!

What time does the game start? I'm going snowboarding and I'm not sure when I'll be back. Are there any other games coming up?

Wow, I'm going to be in NYC during those exact dates, too! I won't be able to meet up, but I'll watch for you on the news. I'd prefer to find a warm place to get drunk on New Year's, but my girlfriend has firmly decided that we'll be watching fireworks in the park. I don't think she understands what cold does to Houstonians. I'm bringing a ****in' ski mask.

That game is at 8:30PM EST on Sat. but it looks like I might have to bail as I've been informed by the friends I'm seeing out in NYC that I have plans. Tomorrow night's Memphis game at 8PM EST might be a possibility. I know I will be down at the Brooklyn Brewery in Williamsburg early evening if anybody wants to grab a drink there. I will make myself easy to spot by wearing my Stros cap and University of Minnesota sweatshirt.
