I can see this cmoing. If he starts next game against Portland, he'll get it in the first Q. Go Head!!!

Rip is taller and can get his shot off. Because of his length, he is also a very good defender when he wants to be. We can hope Luther takes it to the next level next season and learns to create his own shot. He should also learn to come off picks and pop like other SGs. If not, he will never have a midrange game.

I compare Luther to Ben Gordon, although he will never have that total package on offense.

Luther Head is Luther Head. I guess he'd kind of like Damon Jones, except a much better defender and more athletic.

To me arguably the second best player on the team right now.

Matt Maloney is the Ringo of the Rockets family.

I don't think it's even fair to Luther to be compared to Damon Jones. Jones can't do anything else on offense other than shoot a flat-footed line-drive 3, and is basically non-existant on defense.

Aside from his funky "jump-forward 3/4 feet" release, Luther's shot has a much better arc and goes into the basket alot cleaner this season compared to last. He can also drive and finish and make the occasional floater, and he at least gives effort on defense.
