Why wait til they drive even five feet?

If the point is to prevent DWI deaths, make folks check-in their keys on arrival and breath test before leaving the bar/bar areas with their car keys.

    Are you serious?

    Wow.

"Accused of drunken driving? Death for you! Guantanamo for the drunks! HPD said that guy had 2 beers with his wings, burn him at the stake! America is safe!"

So as a business owner, you would refuse an ad from another law-abiding business owner, because you disagree with what he does - fine.

There are folks who refuse to accept business from doctors that perform abortions. That's there prerogative too.

It's incredibly stupid in this case though, as Trichter is doing absolutely nothing wrong by defending people who are merely ACCUSED of a crime (and, in fact, is performing a service - legal defense of those accused by the state of a crime - that is an underpinning of what this republic stands for), but in theory it's your business, so more theoretical power to you.

We should install governors on vehicles also, to make sure people never exceed the speed limit.

We should also ban the sale of guns, knives and any other blunt or sharp objects which could possible be used to kill someone.

In fact, we should just have a dawn till dusk curfew. That would surely eliminate 75% of the crime.

Whatever, fine.....Mr Trichter should get a medal for bending the system and getting people off when they are drinking under the influence.
There is always red-tape and Mr. Trichter knows how to cut it.
    Good for him.

He shouldn't get a medal but he shouldn't be called "scum" by the likes of you for doing his job.

There is no "red tape" about the state not being able to prove its case against everyone it accuses of DWI to a jury. Wow, you think the decision as to people's guilt or innocence is "red tape."

Yeah! What is it with people getting off on technicalities anyway. I mean really - is there any REAL reason police should have to follow a procedure or any reason they should have to consider our 'rights?' Those darn snake oil salesmen big city lawyer types make me sick! We should just put one of them chips in everybody's head so the police can track us all on that interweb thing I been hearin' about.
