Well if you look at the games Jordan Hill only played 20 minutes, and Battier played more than Chase, also he didn't call up PP from the dleague, which would be my number 1 indicator if this team is already tanking.

In fact in his biggest flub that cost us the game he pulled Courtney Lee (26 years old) for Shane Battier (30 years old). Is this your idea of "Playing young guys more"? RA isn't trying to tank, he's probably just using the "play young guys more" as an excuse for his stupid decisions. Otherwise he would have actually played the young guys more.

As for NY, you have no idea how fast things can change. We suck **** right now, but if DM just pulls the trigger and gets either Iggy, Granger or S-Jax I guarantee an instant turnaround on this team. The same way with NY, they're just one injury to Amare from being a lottery team.

Forgive my delay in responding to you and forgive me for my grammatical errors. When I first read this and thought to really do justice I would have to write a long drawn out reply. And then I thought why bother. You are obviously married to your opinion and not open to the possibility that there may be other variables contributing to the Rockets woes besides the coach. You are blaming the coach without even considering the other possibilities. You are even using the argument of talent including the teams current play without considering the absence of Yao and AB and even though he recently returned the absence of Buds deadly shot.

Why bother responding when I am sure any response I give, you will certainly try to shoot down with my grammatical mistakes. But then I reread your response and came to the conclusion you are not the basketball idiot I first accused you of being. After your response again it became clear you agreed with everything I said almost entirely. How can I call you stupid for that. You are not an idiot. Maybe a little bit of a stubborn fool but not a basketball idiot. So i will quickly go through your post...

I understand we were a work in progress coming into the year. That was made clear with Yao coming back after a year long layoff.

Okay you agree with me. Thank you

While I understand there takes time to re-adjust, there should not be this many issues.

You disagree on the number of issues but you clearly agree that there should be some. That's another one for the US. ;)

Uhm, Brooks and Yao are on the team. Brooks was here for the first two games and we were doing the exact same crap we're doing now back then. Yao has only been out for a few games now. To exclude them is not a valid point. Anyways, we're obviously better at the 4 spot with Luis playing out of his mind and Hill doing much better. The 5 spot is a lot better with Yao coming back and Miller/Hill doing a lot better as back up. The 2 spot is much improved over last year. The PG position is in a bit of turmoil, but it's mainly b/c Lowry has been playing poorly thus far. The only position that has seriously regressed in performance is SF. What was your point again?

You don't openly admit to agreeing with me but your evidence does. Yao and Brooks have played 5 games each. 5 games out of 13. Brooks adjustment to not being the main goto guy has been the hardest of all it seems. Last year he was a scoring point guard and our main guy in the 4th. He spent a year in iin that role and became MIP in that role. He is in a contract year and he still wants to put up numbers to get his money. This year we need him to be more of a pass first guy and he was starting to show that a little and then went down. Again Yao and AB have only played in 5 games. Yao has averaged about 20 minutes a game which is really equivalent to about 3 full games. Even then he was starting to show improvement and looked almost himself in the first half of that blow out win against Minny. Scola started playing out of his mind early and has since settled down to good. He still is a liability on defense and isn't the go to guy that Landry was last year. When Landry left we were 3 games above .500 with one of the toughest schedules behind us. You agress about the SF spot and you agree the pg spot is in turmoil right now. And since you blame the coach for the losses now I don't see how you can honestly separate the turmoil from your judgement of the coaches performance. So all in all you pretty much agree with me.

LOL did you seriously just say Spoelstra isn't a bad coach?!? Now I really can't take you seriously. We're talking about a second year coach trying to manage 3 of the biggest stars in the NBA today. He's expected to struggle. Many believe that Pat Riley will take over at some point as he always does. Trying to compare him to Adelman is unfair. Adelman doesn't have 3 crazy egos he has to work with. He should be expected to do a better job than Spoelstra. The Heat will do well on talent alone. An advantage we can't rely on.

You think Spoelstra is a terrible coach. Then you say he has the 3 biggest egos to deal with he is supposed to struggle and then you finally say you can't compare him to Adelman. Which is an indication you think Adelman is better. Okay which is it. You can't have it both ways. Adelman is not as bad as you claim Spoelstra has a tougher situation than Adelman. You sound confused, lost, delusional... or maybe you just want too sound right in this instant and **** the facts.

You're right about the SF position being much weakened. I admitted to as much earlier on. However, Bud is just as athletic as Ariza. He has a 40+ inch vertical for christ sake. Do people really not realize this?

Now here you agree with me straight up but then you post something stupid. Just because Bud was agreat volleyball player that can jump doesn't mean he has basketball athleticism. yeah he can make nice dunks. But he is not the gazell Ariza is. he can not cover the passing lanes like Ariza did and he doesnot have the lateral movement Ariza has. He will never be the defender Ariza was.

So, you admit that our bench isn't bad, right? They're actually still pretty damn good. Our starting line-up has good players as well. Why do you think that Scola/Yao/Brooks/Martin aren't that much better than our second unit? That's definitely a new one. So you previously said that our bench is terrible, and now our starters aren't much better. Damn, this team must be complete crap.

Again you are under the delusion that Brooks and yao are out there on the team that is currently losing without them, that you want to fire the coach for them not playing up to snuff. Brooks and Yao arre currently injured and not on the squad. Without Yao and Brooks it is safe to say we probably have one of the closest teams in talent from the second string to the first. Yes you don't say you agree with me directly but obviously without Yao and AB it is true. ANd since we don't currently have Yao and AB on the squad then you sound like agree with me. I am going to take it that you do because if you don't I would have to think you are stupid again.

Let's pretend that certain players are at least good and others aren't. Isn't it the coaches job to allocate playing time and dictate substitution patterns to curb those players' negative impact?

Yes this is a very valid point. And when of the hardest decisions a coach has to do. But in order to understand it you must truely understand how a coach makes those decisions in the first place. Rudy T said many times that his players roles were decisions that he thought long and hard on. And because of this he took his time when benching a starter. You rarely lost your spot due to injury. Even if the player who replaced you looked better while you were out. He gave each player a thorough analysis and watched practice and how they play in games and after studying a whole lot of film and lots of analysis and then he made his fianl decision. This guy deserves to start because he has consistently contributed more to us winning. This guy deserves to be our 6th man because he consistently brings a spark off our bench.

Adelman takes that even further and sees this guy against traditional centers plays better. This guy against more athletic bigs plays better. The process in how the determine who gets playing time is not simple at all. Yes sometimes he gets it wrong. Sometimes a player is in a funk for a whole game and in hindsight it would have been better to bench him maybe. ANd as a fan sometimes that happens when we see a reserve is playing better and we think he should be out there. But we don't have the access to the practices and film and in the end all of this is a crapshoot. It's like racing horses. You know over time that a horse likes to race a certain and runs better with a certain jockey on the lead. So you stick with that Jockey and as long as your thoroughbred is the course of time playing certain players gives you the best chance of winning. And sometimes in a given game the odds would have been better if you rolled the dice differently. If you are honest you will at least admit that the coach knows much much more than you and if he keeps players in it is probably because his experience has proven that is the right decision.

I agree with you that we need an athletic SF. I'll go one step further and add that we need a solid two-way SF.

I understand it takes time, and injuries have derailed that

Yeah, things will get better when Yao and Brooks come back and some time is given to work things out. But, if Adelman's current strategies stay as they are, things are going to get a lot uglier pretty soon.

Finally you are clearly talking sensibly.

Yes we definitely we could use a more athletic 2-way SF.

    Yes injuries have derailed us.

Yes things will get better when AB and Yao return

Yes are defense sucks because we don't have athleticism or shot blockers

Yes it will take time to gel even after Yao and AB return.

And yes Adelman has made some mistakes along the way. But not so many that any decent coach in the NBA wouldn't make considering all of the setbacks this team has gone under. ANd make no mistake about it Adelman is a decent coach. I am not opposed to replace because I am one who believes the coach gets too much credit when a team is winning and too much shiit when they lose. The NBA is about talent. The best teams always have the best players. Adelman is a good coach but sometimes a team gets stuck with one coach and a change is okay. So if that is what Les orders I am okay with it. But just know he will not be easy to replace with what is currently available on the open market.

Again forgive me for my poor grammer. I hope this helps you to see you agree with more than you disagree with me. Your only main difference is you want the coach fired because the team has inferior talent and is losing. I am okay with your opinion.
    ;)

I think the Rockets should hire David Blatt to be the head coach. He does wonders with the teams he coaches. He has outclassed Coach K every time.

IMHO he is a much better coach than Adelman and Van Gundy.

If the Rockets blow it up, Rick has to go too, he is not a start over coach.

Maybe he'll do better when AB and Yao are back

Forget the 0-5 when they were both here give RA another chance when Ab and Yao are back

A lot of teams are one player away from sucking. Take Nash away from Phoenix and that team completely sucks.

But adding a star doesn't always solve the problem. I disagree we suck because of personnel. Personnel prevents us from being a contender, but it's not why we are 3-10.

Whether Adelman is making dumb incompetent decisions or getting directives from Morey - one thing is clear. The organization is not trying to play winning basketball.
