HDTV - Progressive Scan DVD

    We just got a Mitsubishi 65' Widescreen tv, but I have a question similiar to yours. Our DVD player was one of the first to come out (I think dad got it Christmas of '97) Does it have Progressive scan? How can I check?

    I think with a 65 foot TV, you needn't worry about anything else. ;)

    Progressive Scan DVD players usually have inputs that say "progressive scan" right below or above them.

    I am guessing your dvd player is not progressive scan. Prog scan did not come out in the early days of dvd players.

    What kind of Mitsu is it? Platinum, diamond, etc,? I have a Mitsu as well. Awesome tv's except that the viewing angles arent wide enough.

    jeff.. hmm if Santa brings your wife a big screen tv.. i'm guessing you will be the one funding the TV for santa... makes the idea of a big screen tv less attractive doesn't it.. when you realize you have to pay for it lol....

    if only there was a SANTA who would pay for everything..

    After watching another movie last night and looking for the 3-2 artifacts I've come to the conclusion that I MUST get a progressive scan DVD player. Now all I have to do is get the wife to agree.
