from what I see spec wise, 1080p 240hz 3D (not the biggest deal anymore) 6 pairs of glasses is a big plus for $. Smart TV is a plus since it has built in wifi (no running a direct connection or buying a wifi dongle). Looks good from what I am seeing As far as dual cores, I havent had much input on TVs coming with processors like a tablet or computer would. I am sure it would help when loading smart tv and handling high def frame rates. other than that I am sure you'd be fine. Good Price for a Good TV. I'd pull the trigger. I do find the 6 pairs of glasses to be way too much and is a gimmick to keep the price where it is.
Bump. I'm just now beginning to look for a new TV and wanted to get input from some of you that stay up to date with them. I'm looking to get a 50 inch LED. 3D is cool but isn't really that important to me, as I just don't know if I'd get enough use out of it to justify the price. I've had a 46 in Sharp LCD for the last 5 years and I've been very happy with it. I'll be moving that set to the bedroom and looking to get a new one for the living room. It seems the general consensus is that Samsung is the best brand going right now. Any particular models you guys would recommend? I'm not set on buying from a particular vendor. I do have an Amazon Prime account, but the fact that we have to pay sales tax now in TX doesn't make it quite as appealing.
among Lcd/LED right now the top performers are 1) sharp elite then 2) sony hx929. Damn amazon tax already started?
