    Question:

got it installed today...like it so far...butttttttt

dish had a feature where i could type in the name of a show/movie and search the guide for it instead of just scrolling through day by day. it's great for movies, in particular.

i'm not seeing that so far...am i missing something?

also...what website do i go to in order to program dvr from online??

Click on Menu, than go down to search.

You have to log into your yahoo AT&t account to access the dvr online thing.

If I would have known the speeds of the internet for torrents I would have done this a year ago. Over 1.5 MB DL at all times. So nice.

Anyone has experience with FoxSports-HD with Dish TurboHD or any of their HD package?

Any problem with games that go overtime?

How does non-HD games look on the HD FoxSportSW channel? Do they still broadcast the channel in HD format (and so you may get black borders on the left & right side) if the game is not in HD or do they go back to SD format (480i)?

When I bought my house I went with Uverse, now whenever I am forced to watch Comcast I feel like I've stepped back in time/technology.

That's weird because when I first got Uverse I missed my cable, now that Uverse totalhome and the ability to watch/record more than one HD show are available there is no going back, Uverse is superior technology.

Just in case a U-verse owner doesn't know this, I had to call U-verse Support to get my second HD stream added. It didn't cost anything to upgrade, but it was not given to me at set up.

Isn't it a great feeling to not have to deal with Comcast anymore?

I can't wait to watch them scramble in about 12 months when they realize how many people have left them. Every person I know that has them is talking about switching to ATT (if it's available) or has done so already

i've made the switch! but no installation until Nov. 1st. :( i'll be paying a few bucks more than with comcast, but the xtra features AND HD channels should be well worth it. **** you comcast!

10 down, 1.5 up for $55.00 a month. I couldn't even get those speeds with Comcast at $59.99 a month. I am BEYOND happy that I made the switch and now lol at any and all Comcast commercials. It's pure crap compared to U-Verse. I wish I would have made this change a year ago. I have so many channels I have no idea what to watch anymore.

The only problem I have is with the TV in my den. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to fix the screen to fit the TV. I have a 50" wide screen and when in HD I am unable to read the score scroll bars on ESPN and when I try to schedule recordings I can't read the channels. I have to put the settings on 720i in able to read/see everything.

that's wierd, it must be your settings. set your widescreen to FULL mode.
the resolution has nothing to do with it. the TV usually has a bunch of screen modes. its better to use the cable box. I know you can change the screen mode by pressing the # button on a scientific atlanta box

Yeah, the # button just makes it worse. I'll try the "full" mode this evening. It's been driving me nuts as are the sound settings. When they connected my TV's to their remotes I have to crank the TV or surround sound on most channels to hear them. I've already scheduled an appointment with a tech to fix, but that's a week away.
