Willing to give this another chance if they learned from their mistakes and leave wokeness out of it, just focus on the zombies and survival...
I mean, if boring and sidetracking the main story with side characters as a criticism is what you consider bigotry, well, you clearly think any fan of zombie apocalyptic action that sticks to the plot is bigoted.
So an opposing criticism view that has nothing to do with complaints about sexual content is bigotry in your eyes? Particularly when there is a similar episode later on in the same season that actually sticks to the main character and it is actually good? Clearly you are the small minded bigot on this subject, bigot.
I remember your posts from season 1 as well and your posts about the 3rd episode were just strange. Whatever though. Your opinion is valid for you.
I'm fully aware I'm in the very small minority regarding episode 3 but my criticism remains the same and it's not about the sexual content. It's that it was boring and sidetracked the main story and characters. The vast majority loved it and it won an Emmy, but in my opinion it's the weakest of season 1.
If you watched a chunk of S1 without finishing, you owe yourself. Let's just say it closed with force.
I am so ready for this, I think this go round I will wait for them all to drop and then binge it.................I hate waiting for shows now, I would rather wait and then watch them all at once
Bill had a very deep backstory that was alluded to in the game. It left a lot of people wondering about his character and how he got there and what he had been through. Sorry you didn't find it entertaining, but for fans of the source material it was a real treat and even without that preface it was the best story-telling of the series by far.
Since I missed them originally i went back and looked at your posts about ep 3. You and Salvy both were put-off by the mere fact the characters were gay. You seemed to take their existence as some kind of political or sexual message being pushed into your face. That's really weird considering the characters were gay in canon.
This is due to a lack of risk appetite on the part of networks/studios. They're much more afraid of a flop than they are of being late with something. TLOU was also never going to get serialized a la The Walking Dead. The book has been written so it's not like there's some kind of ticking clock to squeeze as many seasons out as they can. Season 2 was always the finale. Very small chance they have a rejoinder with Season 3, but either way the runway was always short so the pressure to move quickly was not there.
Well networks keep turning a 8 episode show into a 7 season show...stretch out one idea over 10 years. I am glad squid games is ending in 3 seasons. I think it was supposed to be a movie, then it became 8 episodes, then 2 seasons, now 1 more..
That's your own bias coming out. I stand by my statement and I've repeatedly said it was boring and lacking action, sidelining the main characters for a whole episode. The sexual specifics didn't matter whether man/man, woman/man, woman/woman, bestiality, etc. Sexual content was irrelevant in my analysis and I repeatedly said as much in the thread. In video game terms it was a side quest episode. Literally could skip the whole episode and you wouldn't miss a thing on the main show or main characters that mattered.
