this show reminds me of the tenacious d show they used to have.... i love this show its is hilarious!
Ok, though the Show was funny, but this live stuff is better IMO. I just love the folky/performance setting thing
I skipped watching the vids in this thread until you mentioned it. I have to agree, as funny as the show is the live show is even better. And I don't even find Sandler, Tenacious D, and other comedic songs that funny in general.

I'd heard of but never seen this documentary they did for New Zealand tv. Flight of the Conchords: A Texan Odyssey on google video. It's about them going to SXSW in Austin in 2006. You can see the real inspiration for the character of Mel.
This show may be my favorite on tv right now, running neck and neck with Rescue Me, Sunny and 30 Rock. "This is Bowie back to Bowie." We quote that episode constantly. "Am I freaking you out Brett? Is this a freaky dream?" "No, he's not a midget, he's just really small." "That night, after your Mum's birthday, I thought I heard you being a little bulemic." Or from the Mugged episode: "He may be dead." "He maybe did what?" "He may be dead." "Maybe he did, maybe he didn't, but what did he maybe do?" "He may be dead." "Are you guys ****ing with me?"
This show is hilarious. At first I couldn't get into it, but I gave it a second chance and love it now. I think Murray steals almost every scene he is in and has become my favorite character.
Funny **** man, funny ****. My cousins made me watch like 6 episodes while I was up there for the funeral. I enjoy.
It's funny how they had to break America before anybody in New Zealand would pay attention to them. They get NZ humo(u)r perfectly. Great show.
I agree, Murray is the one of the funniest characters I've ever seen on tv. I've been going through Season 1 right now and just finished the episode where he meets with Quincy Jones' supposed brother. That was some hilarious stuff. Arj Barker who plays the pawn shop owner, is also a really great character.
seriously? maybe you don't watch a whole lot of TV. funny indeed, but it's not the funniest show on TV. I'm so glad you resurrected this Moe. I laughed so hard at Oski's YouTube clips that I shot Vodka Tonic out of my nose three times. Good stuff for insomiacs.
