One pet peeve I have with the show: saying the buzzword "neural net" does not make your software better or "smarter" in of itself.

This show is too depressing. I had to bail halfway in an episode two weeks ago when I saw how it would all go wrong. The predicable cycle is just too much to make it through.
It is predictable... but to date, there's always been an eventual happy ending. Its also somewhat by design that things are slow to advance... or constant failures with each/every success. If Pied Piper makes it big... and is a huge success and can do no wrong, this show would become infinitely less interesting.
We can already surmise that with the app going on the Hooli store, and being available to the masses, that some serious bad feedback is going to come in droves regarding the UI and the not-so-straight-forward aspects of the platform.... perhaps they find a way to exploit that? Even though everybody roots for PP, and they eventually win in the end, Belson has been on quite the losing streak basically since tech crunch. Nucleus was a huge failure, he somehow survived the board's scrutiny last season following the non-compete contract debacle, and now his end-frame failure may literally be the end of his Hooli tenure.
Looks like the board was leaning that way... but they also seemed to be leaning that way last year too.
I could see Big Jack selling him the box idea with the PP algorithm attached. Hooli takes it to the board and they either start selling these boxes in massive quantities to a lot of business enterprises or they use the PP algorithm, change it up enough to avoid being sued, and then make a more user friendly app which gains popularity and saves Hooli's position.
I hate to break it to ya guys but Silicon Valley is just exactly like The Big Bang Theory. Richard = Leonard Gilfoyle = Sheldon Dinesh = Raj Erlich = Howard Monica = Penny Laurie Bream = Leonard's Mother Big Head = Stuart In fact you could almost say that Silicon Valley is a ripoff of BBT. There are a lot of similarities.
None of those comparisons is apt except for maybe Dinesh. The best thing that BBT could hope for is to be compared to Silicon Valley. I don't think they're in the same ball park in terms of humor, detail or writing.
I find Gavin hilarious! Software development does not seem like an intensely interesting thing to watch Also . . . I think they do a good job to show getting from A-Z is not as easy and straight forward as it seems Even the most casual tech observer could recognize some of the self destructive things that happen on the show . . .. seem like what may have been behind the seens of actual companys. I'm sure MS VISTA and Windows 8 tested THROUGH THE ROOF!! Among the Tech Nerd Community . . . .but . .. . . Rocket River
They are always getting ****ed . It is too predictable. Still my favorite show on T.V but I know these last two episodes are going to piss me off.
