Just finished. What was Joss Wheadon doing?!? o_O

Fantastic. Action well paced throughout. I like its more serious tone than the Disney-fied Marvel (still cringe at the dance-off at the end of GotG). I know... comics aren't serious business. It's the main reason that the og Blade is still my fav of all Marvel movies. Just don't remember them being this goofy when reading them in my teens. Still a Marvel/Valiant fan first though.

    But yeah... awesome flick.

Joker seemed shoehorned into this for some reason. I dunno. Maybe I just don't dig Leto's interpretation of the character this go-round either.

    Edit: Blade insert

Yeah.. we stopped watching WW84 after about 20 minutes so we wouldn't get to that point of no return to go ahead and finish.

Movie was great there was so much of the story cut out from the theatrical cut. I don't get how Geoff Johns let Wheeden do this seeing of how this came from his Justice League archs from new 52.

Ben Affleck delivered a great performance but that was cut out of the original movie.

Flash and Cyborg you saw more of their backstory that we didn't see originally. It adds to the story.

    Supermans black suit looked great

The scene with Lex and Deathstroke really would have set up Affleck's solo movie they he wrote it sucks we will never see that movie.

The Joker scene is great even though it really doesn't mean anything to the story of this movie , but from what Snyder said that scene would set up the sequel that he had planned.

I thought it was a good Episodic show.
If this was a movie or two . . .it would be good but not great.
Still had a few things that bothered me
or were not fully fleshed out but infinitely better than the original.
It's like Joss did not even read the original script at all

    Ssssooooo . . . . explain to me . . .why does Steppenwolf
    mentions "No Kyptonian"
    Either
    1. They been watching the earth for a long time.
    2. Two unpowered Kryptonians from Superman: Man of steel were a problem for them????
    3. ?????
Why did the sonic scream set them off?

Gawdam. Just spent about 10 mins trying to get this **** out of 4:3. Lo and behold. Snyder may have pissed me off for the last time.

It only took DC making the same movie twice, but they did it. They finally made a decent superhero movie.

    I enjoyed that.

Amazing movie, what a difference a director makes. What the F is WB and DC doing that they won't let this man make movies the way he wants them?

WW84 was absolute garbage, 40 minutes in I gave up. ZSJL is not without flaws but it has immediately become by far the best DCEU ever made. I hope they allow the Snyderverse to continue but not at the movies, straight to streaming instead.

I'm only 1 hour into the film(?) mini-series - How Joss gonna cut Cyborg's whole story line and the only Asian!?

This feels racists to me. They had to be willfully trying to sabotage this joint with the stuff they cut out.

I can understand a little tweaking because Snyder gonna Snyder, but WB hacked the hell out of this film, sheesh.

The Snyder cut was about a million times better than the Josstice League movie if for no reason than the fact it showed the characters more respect. Joss made Batman a joke and completely ignored Cyborg.

Also the actions of everyone make considerably more sense in this version.

It still had its flaws, but I'd watch a sequel in a heartbeat.

So.. it was alluded to in the recent past... that if this went well HBO MAX would be looking into resuming content focused around Ben Affleck's Batman, Jared Leto's Joker, etc... they would be continuing THIS universe. Any news on that?
