    THATSSSSS WHAT IT IS

I didn’t want to look it up but I knew I knew him from a couple of things and that’s the character that was in my head just couldn’t place the show.

its been so long since ive seen season 1 that i missed them, but i was reading a show review that talked about the connections to season 1 and DAMN. thats really interesting. i wonder if theyre setting us up for a wooderson cameo!

i didnt see season 2 or 3, but was there any kind of tie-in to season 1 with them?

    thats one of them.

Yeah, this is a sequel to Season 1…not stand-alone.

I’m going to rewatch S1 again, before moving on. Besides, I need some bra-less sex scenes now, too.

This show is good so far.

Not sure why you guys are b****ing about not seeing Jodie Foster's old-ass t*tties.

I immediately recognized the last name drop (Travis) - Cohle. Assumed it was fan service. Similar to the newspaper clipping in S3. BUT it looks like there might be a more direct connection there.

The tattoo I thought was lazy or trying to redo something for the sake of it (oh, another sign killer) - not realizing it was the SAME sign.

Not yet sure if it's fan service. Part of an ongoing thread the might eventually close with the series. A new piece of a large universe (like the Catholic church and all their crimes, lulz). Or a direct sequel to TD1.

Tuttle Corporation, too. That’s the one that could be more than fan service, given how much attention they are devoting to following the money

Can you link to the show review that points out connections to S1?

Yeah I never caught that reference but interesting to hear. Is that who is funding the research?

Yeah, the deputy’s last update to Jodie said the NCO that provides direct funding is owned by them. But they dismissed it as a dead end, since they’re so big and diversified

Deadwood was the first show I really noticed him in. He's been a very good "That Guy" in a whole bunch of stuff.

    So, rewatching S1, now.

    Didn’t know:

20yr old Erin Moriarty (Starlight — The Boyz) plays Woody Harrelson’s daughter as a teenager
21yr old Lili Simmons (the super hottie in The Banshees, Rebecca the Amish rebel) has a bit part as a prostitute.

Finished my rewatch of S1. Wow, what a masterpiece of directing, storytelling and acting.

If you have time, I highly recommend a re-watch then a full read of this article and the two linked articles.
