    We’re getting the first look at True Detective: Night Country, the fourth installment of HBO’s crime anthology series, starring Jodie Foster and Kali Reis. The teaser was revealed today during Warner Bros. Discovery’s unveiling of the Max streaming service on the Warner Bros. lot in Los Angeles. Watch it below.

    In Night Country, when the long winter night falls in Ennis, Alaska, the eight men who operate the Tsalal Arctic Research Station vanish without a trace. To solve the case, Detectives Liz Danvers (Foster) and Evangeline Navarro (Reis) will have to confront the darkness they carry in themselves, and dig into the haunted truths that lie buried under the eternal ice.

    Fiona Shaw, Finn Bennett, Isabella Star Lablanc, Aka Niviâna, Anna Lambe, and Joel D. Montgrand also star, along with Christopher Eccleston, and John Hawkes.

    Issa López serves as showrunner, writer and executive producer and directs all episodes. Foster also executive produces along with Barry Jenkins, Adele Romanski, and Mark Ceryak for Pastel, Mari Jo Winkler, Chris Mundy, Alan Page Arriaga, Steve Golin, Richard Brown, Woody Harrelson, Matthew
    McConaughey, Cary Joji Fukunaga and Nic Pizzolatto. Princess Daazhraii Johnson, Cathy Tagnak Rexford and Sam Breckman serve as producers.

    I'm in. Season 1 is the all-time best season of TV ever. I have hope.

    Should be titled: True Detective: 28 Days of the Silence of the Lambs Night

    Saw the 'time is a flat circle' symbol in there, hoping this ties in to Season 1 somehow.

    each season is a stand alone detective story with new characters, so you don't need to watch the previous seasons to understand

    1st season is 10/10
    2nd season only made it to about episode 3 so i guess that 2/10
    3rd season was about 7/10 and worth watching

    the 1st season though is about as good as a tv show can get in my opinion.

    30 min in, bored to death. Is this some paranormal ****?

    rewatched season 1 last week. So so good. Started 2 and couldn’t get through first episode. Season 3 was better iirc.

    I actually didn’t watch the trailer. Didn’t even know there was a new season being worked on until I got an email from Max abt premiere 2 days ago.
