The only sci fi show I've seen where all this detail and meta analysis panned out was Babylon 5. I don't have high hopes for this one, but it's sci fi, so I'll watch (preferably when it's all over and people said it's good)
Finished episode 5 this morning. Realizing I hate all of the children. It's sorta weird...I find myself only caring about what happens to Mother...and I'm very sympathetic to Father and his limitations. Still trying to figure out the exact back-story on Marcus and Sue (before they stole the M&S identity).
You take that back. That sweet little Asian girl is the only one Id nurture and care for. The others can parrish with their whiny asses.

Does anyone know how she got pregnant yet. It's like just one episode she was suddenly prego and nobody asked how. The monsters digging those holes at the center of the planet must have been enormous. interested to learn more, but it's a little whacked right now. I have a hard time believing Ridley Scott would risk the Alien series on stupid ass script, but I don't know, when he once decided Ripley would mother an alien, anything is possible.
My Question...what's the deal with the flaming rock w/ the hole? Sol's butthol? Spoiler In last ep, she told father that while she had cybersex w/ "the Creator", he uploaded instructions into her and her body changed according to those blueprints. Immaculate innit? Since necromancers are not a mithraic invention but tech handed down "through scripture" and because "scripture/prophecy" ties very deeply with the planet, it's possible that whatever's doing the whispering on the planet (Sol, Satan, or the Planet's Snake Beasties ) changed the programming in that VR bed. Keep in mind, Marcus tampered that device beforehand to "incapacitate her" and he's kneedeep in the Sol Kool Aid ...As is his son, who discovered truths about his parents through the voices in his head.
Thanks. Missed that. Resolved. On it being a butthol, lol, it is plausible given the spaceship went in there like a sperm. I would not be shocked if he's trying to say that planets are mothers. And that planets are not just rocks, but advanced tech to give birth to life. Cause this is some weird asss shiot ( no pun )
This show was a rare, original sci fi gem. Makes me want to dive more in the genre. Also glad its not based on a book and no one knows where this show is going for certain. Creators have 5 or 6 seasons in the tank I heard. Some great theories on YouTube
I'm right there with you.... @tmoney1101 I got the same feeling during the first season.....really seems like there is a lot of creation myth stuff being packed in....
I think...it is about the apex of science being so transparent and amazing it blurs the lines between magic or divinity.
Has anybody seen this old animated movie? For some reason this show (and the intro animation) remind me of it. It really weirded me out as a kid.
I made it to episode 3. Into the bin it goes. No direction. No point. I can already see this show meandering through several seasons with no real resolution. They resurrected Father and Mother can transform herself into other likeness which means anything can happen.
