Thanks for the video. Very cool stuff. I can't wait for this series to start. I hope it's early in 2011 when this series starts. I can barely stand the wait. Just out of curiosity did you believe that trailer had spoilers in it? I didn't really see any spoilers when I watched it.
I usually put spoiler tags on videos as a courtesy for page loading times, but I can see in this case how it might cause people not to view it. I think the expected premier is around the 1st of April, after the final season of Big Love. There should be another trailer released tonight.

My only complain would be Daenerys Targaryen and Cersei. They both don't fit the role they're playing. Lena Headey is just too cute and innocent looking to be portraying Cersei. Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen is just totally wrong.
Nicolaj Coster-Waldau (or however it goes) looks like he was born to play the part of Jaime. Not exactly what I expected Jon Snow to look like though. Did they ever say who was going to play Brienne of Tarth? That's going to be some interesting casting.
She doesn't show up until the 2nd or 3rd book, right? I doubt they are even worrying about casting her until they see how this first season is received.

I think she makes a brief appearance in the first one at one of the tournaments, but I could be wrong. It'd been a while since I've read it.
I don't think she appears in the first book. It's only later when Renly has his "rainbow guard" that we see her.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure it is the 2nd or 3rd book when she first shows up. And it is at the tournament you are remembering: Spoiler It's the melee competition when she finishes off Ser Loras Tyrell to win it all. Even the book kind of sets you up because it isn't revealed that it is a woman until she pulls off her helm. I'm sure they'll have fun with that in the show too, if it gets that far.

That preview was amazing. Spoiler Based on how I envisioned the characters, I'd say they nailed most of the casting. Drogo and Dany are particularly good. I always pictured Catlin as being prettier, but to be honest, I can't stand her character so the actress being less attractive works for me. The only character casting they flubbed in terms of looks was Robert, IMO. He was counted among the biggest men in Westeros and Ned refers to him as a god in one flashback. Granted, he suffers a huge decline and is a big drunken sot in the books, but his flashbacks show him as a huge warrior badass. Brienne of Tarth is shown at the Hand's Tourney in the Grand Melee. They could easily have her in her helmet, though, so they could cast her later.
I'm totally very disappointed with Jon Snow character who is suppose to be my favorite character. Not what I've envision him to be and this is totally a miscast.
