a Porsche runs for about 80K, she probably made around 100K per episode of Sopranos at least. Even if she isn't in an episode, she probably still gets paid regardless. Their contracts are based on per season much like a Rockets player. Even if Dorsey plays in the NBDL or rides the pine we still pay his contract.
i think jamie lynn got paid more than 100k she was probably gained the most fame from that show than anyone other than gandolfini. I think she probably got paid at least 500k per episode when you consider how successful that show was and the huge royalties from dvd/bluray, rentals and syndications. her being able to buy Turtle a porsche isnt too out of left field. Also I think its a bigger deal to Turtle now because he was in People magazine with that caption. Him being part of the 'entourage' of Vince was really only known amongst celebs who were all vince's friends and his friends as well. Now you have everyone and their mommas (literally) knowing that he is jamie lynn's boyfriend and that probably makes him feel insecure. so far i wish there was more drama story, less of E, MUCH MORE of Sloan and I do like the Turtle story line
This show is ridiculously stupid yet I've seen every episode and will continue to watch. Ari is just gold.
They did take it a bit far but it was funny Rogen Offended Over Entourage Jibe22 July 2009 1:21 AM, PDT | From wenn.com | See recent WENN news Actor Seth Rogen has waged war on the creator of Entourage after his looks were mocked on the hit TV show. In a recent episode of the U.S. series, the characters referred to Rogen's "oddly fascinating" ugliness. They also discussed whether the funnyman could ever win a date with a woman like actress Katherine Heigl, his love interest in Knocked Up. Rogen was fuming after hearing the remarks, branding the programme's creator Doug Ellin a "moron" and vowing never to watch the TV series. He says, "Yeah, those guys are a**holes. I actually ran into (Entourage actor) Kevin Dillon in a Starbucks. And he’s like, ‘You know, I’ve got to kind of apologise because apparently the guy who created our show doesn’t like you so much.’ "I said, ‘Well, I have reason to believe because I think (creator) Doug Ellin is a moron from all I can understand so it makes sense he doesn’t like me.’ "I’ve kind of said some disparaging things about the show. Although, in our defence, (producer) Mark Wahlberg called us misogynistic in an interview, so I think they kind of started that (battle). It’s on. Luckily I never have and never plan on watching Entourage.”
Then how did he know he was called out? It was a minor part in the episode. They were even blazing and drinking (in the episode) during the mini segment
Wow - looks like I really underestimated Hollywood's payscale. $100K per episode? $500K per episode? for meadow soprano?!?!? color me stunned. I expected Gandolfini, Falco, and Bracco to make the big bucks (in the $500K-$2M per episode range)... then the secondary guys - like imperioli, sirico, van zandt, chianese, turturro, schirripa, and pastore to make "2nd tier money" ($100K-500K) then finally your siglers, ilers, de Matteos, castellucios, gannascolis, and ventimiglias to make bottom dollar - whatever that is. i never really thought about dvd sales or syndication on A&E. Even though there was an extraordinarily large ensemble cast - all of whom had their hands in the money pot - i guess there was more than enough to go around?
Evidently Jamie got 100k/ep in the final season. 500k+ seems typically reserved for the leading actors. Don't forget The Sopranos has short seasons. Zap2It
lol are you guys seriously discussing the plausibility of Jamie Lynn being able to afford a Porsche in Entourage?
jerry seinfeld made 35 million this year ALONE. for himself. And he does practically nothing anymore, almost all of it is from the sales and syndication. While that is the highest end of the spectrum, you get my gist. As far as turtle, he did try to be a manager or something a while back with Saigon that ended up failing, so this isn't the first time he's tried to do something. I really liked the last episode- it was refreshing to see ari be surprisingly helpful for once. However, i dont want him to turn into a mentoring figure all the time, it was just good because it was so unexpected with E and turtle. Im not really feelin the whole E-alien chick thing, but the rest of the episode was not formulaic and was enjoyable.
don't forget discussing the pay scale for lead actors, regular characters, guest leads and co-stars...
It's pretty obvious by the lack of talk in this thread that this show has long passed it's prime...yet I still watch. Guess I have to justify paying for HBO.
last couple of episodes have been really weak, especially the crap with E and the alien girl. the golf episode was gold. but the rest...eh.
johhny drama went johhny drama more of drama being drama instead of him having nothing to over heat about
Seinfeld and Jamie Lyn don't compare. He has an ownership stake in his show, producer credit, writing credit, creator credit, etc. He gets paid multiple times over. I'm not disputing whether or not she can buy a Porsche, but I'm sure she's not making a couple of million from syndication and dvd residuals and she doesn't have any successful movies to her name.
