Just started this series and I haven't seen this many naturaly beautiful women on tv. I'm on S1 E9, long way to go.
Really hope they spin off Capone and his rise to power, think that would be epic. Show has been one of my favorites since it first came on.
Just now finishing my binge-watch of Friday Night Lights. This might be my next show to embark on. Is it worth delving into?
Very much so but be forewarned that the first season is a lot of set up, after that things really get in motion but even then it can be a slow burn but very well done.
This is true, but man this show feels so light that it took me a while to figure out each episode was close to an hr long. Even when things are slow, it is so well done that it keeps your interest.
Absolutely, it's the best kind of slow moving show. I've always been impressed by the quality of the acting and writing.
Lol, I remember this. History is written about the James Darmodys of the world. There's a good interview about that episode with the show creators...found it: http://insidetv.ew.com/2011/12/11/boardwalk-empire-finale/ Edit: Damn, I mean't not written. Glad it gave you some closure; it helped me come to terms with the show too.
James fan I take it? Yea I was upset at first too but the way he was playing the game he was bound to lose. A lot of it wasn't his fault but still.
Yeah, it's all good though. Someone in S3 needs to step up big time. Just finished first episode and it looks promising.
Its still worth it believe me, the story gets REALLY good. No spoilers, but you will find yourself in moral corners rooting for characters you never thought you would root for. Back to your earlier point, the end of season 4 is when you get pissed and want to hang it up. I would stay away from this thread if I were you. Too much has happened and people won't hesitate to cite those events.
It's been a while since I've seen the last few episodes of last season, but I think Nucky is sending him out of town (Chicago?) to run an operation there. Not totally sure, and that may be totally false. But that's what popped in my head when I saw your question.
Yeah Eli getting out of town for sure, but seeing van Alden picking him up is what confused me. Because i never saw any interaction between nucky & van Alden after he went awol from the agency, on the run with the nanny & baby to become an iron salesman. All I remember them showing us who van Alden was working for in terms of organized crime was between obanion & Capone.
Oh & Eli had to leave because Spoiler he killed agent Knox btw do we still need to spoiler stuff? Somewhere along the last season I just missed the van Alden connection somehow, to nucky and Eli.
you can't be half a poster! are we just going to ignore...its return? sure i miss my favorite character but it was a fantastic episode. It had more action than the previous season premieres.
