I wouldn't put much stock into anything The Celtics announcers say, even if you like what you hear. Tom Heinson is the biggest "homer" in the history of sports broadcasting and I've been watching NBA League Pass for a long, long, time and he has said some absolutely boneheaded things.
chuck made kg look like a black dirk. kg could not back down chuck at all. chuck made him stay on the perimeter shooting jumpshots just like dirk.

I know that he was trying to score inside today but isn't shooting jumper what KG have done for years? He is been on offense a black dirk with less range for a long time.

Chuck is shooting 30% from the field, and still had the bigger influence on the game than Defensive Player of The Year Kevin Garnett. Okay, Chuck's sample size is smaller therefore more noticeable but still. Just can't count out Chuck, situational defense is what he does.
Good point. We have lost our D since Ron and Shane were out. It's time to let Chuck play some minutes. And I think Tmac should not start before he is really healthy. Yao and Tmac are both slow in D. It would be be better to give them each a D helper. Yao with Shane/Artest or even Wafer since he is athletic. And Tmac can play with Chuk and Brooks.
he completely STOPPED KG in his tracks. i loved watching this matchup where KG kept going at him and Chuck didnt back down. in the first quarter KG couldnt miss but after his encouter with chuck it seemed like he was out of his comfort zone. hes played this kind of d on KG before so im not surprised but it was a treat to watch
I'm so glad to see Chuck playing well against Garnett. Chuck has actually been struggling defensively lately. He won't play every night, but he has value as a specialty defensive stopper.
Somebody should put those defensive stops up on YouTube. That was a thing of beauty. I bet Van Gundy fell off the couch

Did they take out the barkley rule? Ya know the one where you can't just keep backing up for more than 5 seconds? KG did it twice in that monstrous Hayes defensive effort.
