Hayes got into better condition this offseason, and I think he can/should get into even better condition than this. Reducing his body fat while keeping his strength up to par will continue to give him quickness. There's still a lot of easily attainable improvement to be exploited on Hayes' part. You CAN improve your shooting stroke. A good coach will get that hitch out of his J and FT's. As for getting into better shape, it's absolutely necessary. Hayes will not grow taller so he needs to do everything he can possible do to be quicker than his guy, to jump higher, to run faster, and to be stronger. These are things he can and, I'm confident, will take care of. Right now, he's doing a terriffic job. What I mentioned are ways he can get even better to the point we will have no problem with him logging 30+ minutes every night against pretty much anyone. But right now, as a 20-25 minute player, he's playing excellent, ripping down boards, exploiting double teams on Yao, and playing good help and man defense.
He should be getting 30 until he proves that he can't play. I would think he starts getting increased minutes......as long as he isn't fouling out. He still is not getting the proper respect from the officials defensively, but I think that will come. I think all of our starters should be getting 30 mpg including Rafer. And JVG would have to be desparate to be running Juwan out there again with Yao. JVG knows that IS NOT going to work. If Chuckie starts having problem he is going to go to Snyder or Novak, not Juwan. Juwan's role and only role on this team is spare backup minutes at the 5 when Yao is not in the game. I would bet that Juwan rarely if ever sees the floor defensively with Yao. He may get a couple spot offensive possession with Yao but defensively it just doesn't work. But on another note.............. Can you imagine Chuck Hayes with a 3 point stroke?
the starting lineup that we have with hayes is perfect. hes a banger, and size has not limited him at all this year. yao hayes battier tmac alston hopefully we can see this lineup for about 70 games. we could really use the consistancy after last years 30 or so different starting lineups.

Yeah, that really sucks. There isn't a player on the team I root for more than Hayes. It appears he could be missing significant time. Looks like Juwan will be getting his starting spot back.
They said on the broadcast he's questionable to return, which should mean he can be back soon. On those first couple of plays, you just imagined Hayes getting the rebound or defending the shot that Juwan couldn't.
unfortunately, he is not gonna come back soon. minimum 1 month b4 its safe to come bak! that becky hamann doesn't know **** at wht shes talking about. Anyone notice that she called wade "hey, lebron......[dead silence] um.....dwane" i lmao after hearing that she called the wrong name of such a superstar.
Judging from the San Antonio game, he might have help Yao get more than 2-3 boards a game. Did you do an 'iso' on (not Chuck Hayes) compare to Chuck Hayes on effectiveness?
