And if he was 6'5 instead of 6'1 which is just 4 inches he'd probably be very good right?

The reality is he isn't 4 inches taller and he also missed those 10 threes so what the hell is your point? We live in reality not fantasy land where Sheppard made those 10 threes and is a 41% three point shooter. Sheppard takes 2 threes a night for him to make 10 threes is 5 games not missing. How likely is that to happen? If he was that good then guess what, his 3 pt percentage wouldn't be 27% to begin with SMH.

How many times has Sheppard played without even taking a shot? The fact that he has taken few shots is on him. Why does he need to be a seasoned vet to have good 3 pt percentage? Look at the 3 pt percentage of rookie Steve Nash and Devin Booker even if they had low attempts. Usually good 3 pt shooters have good percentage even on low attempts. Aaron Holiday has less attempts than Sheppard why is his 3 pt percentage high? There is still a chance Sheppard improves but excusing his poor performance due to external factors like other people are blocking him or Ime isn't playing him is just pure COPE.

If Sheppard was hitting his 3s he'd play. That's the bottom line. If he was playing like Payton Pritchard you know who'd be the no 1 screaming for him to play more minutes? Me. But 27% is not worth playing except in blowouts. That's just reality, not fantasy.

I’m not sure about that. How is that worse than the Spurs' poopoo platter of picks? Though if they give up Castle we certainly aren’t beating that package. Or, at least, we shouldn't try.

I still think SA will pass if it means giving up the Atlanta pick. Wemby will mysteriously tweak a hammy or calf and miss most of the second half and they will end up with 2 lottery picks in an absolutely loaded draft. If they blow that chance for Fox they are idiots. Especially since the NBA will almost certainly award them a top two pick. All this talk about SA being a small market team became moot once they added the whole country of France to their market.

I could absolutely see the Spurs telling the Kings, "You can have anything except Wemby, Castle, and our picks this year."

They could throw in their pick, if they are convinced Fox makes them playoff not play-in contenders this year and next, but then they would only have the Atlanta pick as a potential lottery ticket. They should follow the Rockets blueprint, especially with this loaded draft and maximize the picks they have in it by tanking.

What can Spurs do that is better than FVV, Reed Sheppard and a pick? They aren't gonna mortgage their soul for Fox and give them like 5 picks and 3 swaps or some BS. Fox didn't even become an all star this year.

Spurs don't exactly have stars their guys like Keldon Johnson, Devin Vassell etc are all worse than FVV. They don't wanna give up Castle and they don't want to give up the 2025 pick. If the Rox want Fox they can easily outbid any offer Spurs will give.

Well, yeah. That's my overarching point. If they aren't including Castle or the Hawk's pick, I think FVV + Reed beats whatever they can offer even if we're not sending a lot of picks.

That would be the smart thing, but Spurs haven't exactly been the most logical team like they traded the 8th lotto pick for 2030 Wolves pick. If they got a Kalel Ware or Donovan Clingan how good would the Spurs look RN?

Fact check - he did not miss those ten threes yet. He hasn’t taken them.

Fact check, he has missed more than 10 threes. The other person was arguing if he made 10 of those threes he missed, then his 3 pt would be 41%.

Making 10 more threes wouldnt boost his percentage from 27% to 41% as his attempts would also rise.
