Huerter being shopped to NBA teams coincides with what pundits have been saying. I'm just not sure that Rockets would be in their deal.

it's a weird position to be in because they're doing well so u don't make that trade and disrupt what they have but like it's the most obvious trade u have to make. Fox unfortunately asked out a year too late because it would be a done deal by now if we were in last years position. It's also a done deal if he asked out last summer. If he's there this summer, u gotta make it.

Both of these statements are wrong. FVV is just a stop gap and Sheppard is just at GLeague caliber at the moment.

Amen is the future not Sheppard.

Amen is absolutely the future. Sheppard is in it too. Really would love to add Ace Bailey from this draft to the squad somehow. Dude would be phenomenal next to Amen.

I would drop all the Suns picks + what we can ship of ours for that dude.

Sheppard has to earn being the future next to Amen. Just blind, groundless statements wont make him the future. We spent a 3rd pick on Sheppard nobody hopes he'd be the next Curry more than me. But he's not and he is very far from even Holiday at this point.

Dont group Amen and Sheppard like they're the same guys at this point. When Sheppard starts balling out ok he is the future, not when he is shooting 28% from 3 and 41% TS. Thats China future not NBA future.

I think Sheppard will be fine. No one on the team is doing what Amen is doing right now. Hell, hardly anyone in the league can do what Amen is doing right now. Saying Reed is the future doesn't mean he's the star of the team, it means he's a building block that we need to invest in and should be a very solid contributor soon.

Thats literally what saying he is the future means. Is NFaly Dante the future? lol

I dont know if Sheppard will be fine or not. I will wait till next year to make my assumption. All I can say is he isnt producing at a level I expect right now. Maybe he is just shell shocked, or maybe he grows an inch and becomes a star like Sengun. He still has a lot of potential but unless he shows growth I wouldnt say he is the future of the Rockets.

Yeah baby, keep pushing up the price.

I hear the Kings want Castle but the Spurs are saying no.

    Give it up Spurs

Well so you know what I'm saying, I think Reed is part of the future, not the franchise cornerstone. I think he's a worthwhile investment. I'm not concerned about him long-term I can tell he has a high IQ.

With the new CBA, the low / mid contract players are valuable. If Reed can contribute startring next year, take advanatage of that rookie deal. Min / maxing a team correctly can put your team an advantage over other teams. We see how stuck some these top heavy apron teams can be.

Honestly it's pretty rare for guys to be quite this bad as rookies and turn out to be anything special

Not writing him off, but I'll just be happy if he becomes a good NBA player at all.

Feels made up. I’d probably pull the trigger if that was a real offer (assuming Fox would extend), but I’m not buying it. Don’t like the fit of Fox and Jalen in the back court; would need make some subsequent moves. I highly doubt we disrupt what we have going with a massive trade this season.

for sure Sac loves Reed Shepard. That’s like the only thing credible about this rumor.

Rarely do teams who get the third overall pick have so much good, young talent blocking the way for players like Reed in the first place.

I can not imagine Ime signing off on this. FVV is an Ime type of guy, Fox seems like the complete opposite of an Ime guy. Getting a recent coach of the year fired over your own defensive lapses seems so far away from what this team is all about. It would be a good idea to make the price for San Antonio a lot higher.

This is such a lame excuse you know that right? Stone didnt get a decent backup pg for FVV it is right there for the taking for Sheppard if only he wasnt shooting 28% from 3 with 41% TS. Udoka even played him over Cam at the start of the season so what's your basis other talent are blocking him?
