    yeah good read Manny.

Those hawk fans were right about one thing: The hawks frontcourt should dominate ours. Their backcourt is weak though. I just don't really buy the hype around Terry yet.

And other than Nazr, their bench does suck.

I was checking that out and I came accross this...

Looks like Grizzly fans are still in pain over the Francis trade. :p

The thing that these Hawks fans don't realize is that they think that they have an edge over Mobley as an individual. But as we all know, Francis and Mobley= chemistry, they are better with the other person in the game with them. Sure MAYBE, Terry can be as good as Mobley, but it's the teamwork of Francis and Mobley that is the key.

How many plays have we seen with these two players making dunks at the end of their plays? Seriously, there is no other duo that has a better chemistry than the Rockets' backcourt 2001. It's just stupid for these Hawks fans to match up their players with ours just straight up. This is how it's supposed to be matched up----> Francis/Mobley vs. Vaughn/Terry........................advantage ROX:)

Nice pick-up Manny! :) Our backcourt should slaughter Atlanta's. There is really no comparison. Our depth should be a big key, if they play anywhere close to the way they played against San Antonio this one could get ugly early. I think Atlanta will be the most improved team and I have them in my Top 8 in the East, but they won't hit their stride until mid-season. I hope Rudy starts a frontline of Willis and Cato because I think that should go a long way towards neutralizing a lot of the effectiveness of the Hawks lineup. And don't discount Rice, he looked solid in limited action, he's just a little behind in learning the system. He's a pure shooter with an established role now and great guards, he's also a solid rebounder. I think this is a game where T-Mo and Walt are going to have to eat minutes though. It'll take Rice a week or two before he really learns his role in the system. This should be fun, but I think a psyched up Rockets team pulls away from the Hawks.

Looks like that opinion of Terry having an advantage over Mobley is totally wrong. Looks like Terry needs to learn a little from Mobley last night. Ha Ha ATL fans!

Mobley dominated Terry, but based on last year's stats, they are actually pretty close.

I thought these Atlanta fans were LESS homers than I typically have seen in evaluating our team and theirs, in fact them seemed a lot closer at looking at things objectively like some of our BBS folks. Sure they underated Mobley and our bench relative to their counterparts (they do only see us twice a year), it should have read "slight edge" to us on SG and firm edge from the bench. But think about how bad fans of other teams in the West completely miss the boat about us yet they see us more often (with notable exceptions off the top of my head in Swoopa and Nugzs folks for being very objective more often than not). Now Mobley showed he is better than Terry--maybe even more than "slightly" better, but I think Terry will probably hold his own in Atlanta. Also, Atlanta shouldn't be a terrible defensive team with Theo plus either Nazi or SAR protecting the lanes. In sum, I thought the Atl folks did pretty well.
