1) That was a travel on Perkins 2) Are you really bringing up push-offs? Every single time Pierce drives he uses his forearms. The funniest was earlier when he tried this and fell down. He drove, anticipated the defender being there, went to push off and fell down since the defender backed off. That's just how he plays. He's a great player but he always gets away with that. 3) Hack job every time a Celtic touched the ball? The C's are a finesse, perimeter-oriented team. The idea that any rational basketball team would "hack" a team that plays that way is beyond me. Pierce is the only guy that actually creates any contact or takes any abuse. 4) Pachulia played 14 minutes, collected four fouls and got whistled for anything and everything. Besides, how exactly does one "push-off" whenever their man gets rebounding position on them? If you're talking over-the-back that's one thing. I didn't see anybody doing that. The Hawks are, for the most part, pretty shaky on simple fundamentals. They're so athletic they make most of their plays by simply outjumping their opponents. I didn't see any over-the-backs on either side.
i didnt see any rolleyes so ill bait... ummm he did miss them here in houston against boston last month
Man that sucked! I really wanted the hawks win it. A lot of the calls were really questionable like that 3 point play by Pierce? Johnson had almost that EXACT same play in the last possession and no shooting foul. Well hopefully someone will stop their streak. These guys are really pissing me off. btw BEASTLY dunk by smith
there were several and i mean several questionable calls. Boston big three got questionable calls, but it sucks even more more when Perkin is knocking people of their feet and still gets a foul
That's what seperates championship teams from the rest of the pack....they find ways to win games even when they are supposed to lose.
yea i saw that, it was so pathetic....as much as I hate the Celtics though i do appreciate that their not afraid to call eachother out, and their passion, though annoying, for every possession. Wish i could see Yao and Mac show that passion, hope Ron Ron will continue to show them how
I think you might have me wrong. I hated the T-Wolves when KG was on 'em, and now I've hated the Celtics for just over one full season. I didn't hate them before KG; I just hate them now. YES, Boston fans are annoying as hell, but that's no reason to hate a team. It certainly helps hate them more.
Any team that has won titles has annoying fans to those that have not. When the Rockets win another title we will be equally hated. It's just the nature of the thing. About hating KG... eh, we always dominated him during his Wolves tenure. I think hatred as a Rockets fan is best reserved for players who have had success against us. The closest he had gotten previously was when he was teamed up with Sammy, so I was cheering for them. Being from Boston, naturally I have to cheer for my team (when they're not playing the Rockets). Even back in the long dark Dino Rajah days I was pulling for them. It's cool to see a bad team get back to the good and reaping the benefits of a longterm emotional investment. I'm not pulling for them to win another 5 and pass our 22 straight. Let that be known far and wide across the land. Then again we did 22 with less talent with Yao out and a thinner bench. We had a big one at the time, which last time I checked is < big three. If we could repay the favor and be the one to end their streak, it would be poetic justice.
