Now, that I'm in charge of Oakland, I have several players available. It will probably take a little bit of time to sort it all out but anyone that was sent down to the Minors is definitely available.

So, DV, I may be able to help you with your bullpen...the guys that I have in mind are pretty cheap. The only guy off your team that interests me is Exley.

Pued - I may take one or two of those guys off your hands, but you would have to help me out with a couple of mine.

Castor - I think that I'm going to have some very good prospects, but of the guys you listed, only Raines interest me but I will have to see what would be a good offer. I was wondering if I gave you a prospect's name would you offer someone other than the ones you listed?

However, before I start trying to make a deal, I'll have to see how moving some guys from my old team, Portland, to the new one impacts my cash, free agent money, and extension money. I may require that you give me cash as part of any possible deals.

I will be unable to make chat until after 10 tonight, but I can talk to the 3 of you there and anyone else that might be interested.

 

Alright, after doing some more evaluation, these players are ones that are available:

MR Dicky Gonzalez
MR Rob Ramsay
SP Randey Dorame
SP Brad Thomas
SP Noah Lowery
2B Vince Bates
3B Xavier Nady
CL Matt Ginter
C Ron Woolridge

Granted some of these guys are not world-beaters, but as some of you already know, when the Computer was running Oakland, it signed an insane amount of players. There is no way that I can get all these guys playing time, so I might as well try to find places that need them. A couple of comments on each:

Kieschnick & McMillon - 2 veterans who could help a thin bench...I definitely want to be rid of McMillon because that b*stard did not re-sign with me when I was the owner of Portland!


Polanco is 34 but still has a 6 in hits but there is no where to play him because of Yan, Matthew, and still Vince Bates. Would definitely start for the majority of the teams out there.

Marler, Gonzalez, and Ramsay were all with the major league team until I took over...they were sent down to make room for Wheatland, Ricks, and Adam Johnson. Marler and Gonzalez both have brilliants in walks and all 3 are cheap and would definitely help any bullpen that is thin.

Dorame, Thomas, and Lowery are veterans that are still somewhat young from 29 to 32 plus all 3 are in my top 15 ratings wise for pitchers.

Bates has hit over 20 homers in the last 2 seasons with Boston, so he could provide someone with some pop.

Nady is a veteran and another that did not resign with me when I was running Portland ....so, he must GO!! He can play 1B as well and has decent power.

However, probably the 2 best players out of all these guys are Ginter and Wooldridge.

Ginter was the closer before Adam Johnson and is an A-F-G-G and is 32. He is setting up right now but he can still close for any major league team.

Wooldridge is my #6 rated prospect. He is a 21 year old C with a good in hits. I know that BGM was interested at one time in young Cs with good in hits, so there's you one. With Sixto plus my 2 big league Cs in Shawver and McCroy, I'm stockpiled with Cs.

What do I want? All I want is guys that are prospects or on a rookie contract...would prefer that their contract is not up this year...I would also always take cash. I just don't think that I can really take on any salary over 3 million and even that might be too much. Actually, I like what I have on the ML roster...it's just trying to get the rest of the organization down to a reasonable number and I'm way over right now.
