Superstar closer Trevor Hoffmann is now available. However, it will take several quality players to land him.

I'd be interested in Ordonez. I could give you Morgan Ensberg and another prospect for him. Ensberg hasn't put up very good numbers this season, but last season he put up terrific numbers. He's probably just in a slump right now.

let me know what you think.

The Giants are now going into rebuilding mode, so I am having a firesale. Anyone on my team is available, but mostly the veteran players. I want young players, that will make a difference eventually, if not now. A few of the standout guys available are:

Barry Bonds...Good/Avg/Brilliant/Brilliant/Avg...still may have another season or two left at 39

Randy Johnson ...Good/Fair/Good/Avg/Brilliant...having an off year, but still can produce

Shawn Estes ...Avg/Avg/Brilliant/Avg/Avg...also having an off year, but a solid pitcher with plenty of years left.

Anyone on my team is availabe, with the exception of Pudge. My needs are all pitching, OF, 1B, and SS/2B.

    DH,

Lieber, Quist, J. Powell, Borkholder for Estes, Aybar?

I'm not interested in picking up that much salary, so I'd want to deal you another solid pitcher like Lieber for Estes-- I wouldn't have room for them both anyway. Quist is an average-good-average-average-average pitcher with B duration, and Powell is an AAA reliever who looks ready for the big leagues. Borkholder is a young 20 year old OF who you can develop...

Well, Steve Finley has decided this season would be a good season to decline. So I am in need of another CF. Preferably young, if possible, but if not, then I don't want a superstar. Make me an offer.

I've decided that I'm willing to listen to offers for Randy Wolf or Tony Armas. Both are excellent young pitchers. I'd want equality in return.

Franchise, I know you like both of the above players. I like Eric Milton and Josh Phelps. Hit me back, maybe we can work something out.

Terrence (I love BGM) Long is avaialble. He is not a superstar but he is fiarly young (28). He is in the last year of his contract also. I'm not sure what you are willing to give up but i would like to see if we could work something out possibly for Gordon.

I would like Randy Wolf, Tony Armas, and A Perez. It looks like you need a closer. Does Trevor Hoffman interest you?

    Manny:

I wouldn't tell you this if I thought Zac would do the deal, since if a new guy can rob a vet, more power to him...

...but Hoffman isn't worth Armas or Wolf. he's certainly not worth both. No closer, no matter how good, is worth a quality SP. Relievers simply aren't as valuable.

Besides, Hoffman's substantially older. You'll have better luck dealing players if you ask for reasonable deals.

Possibly...I'm on lunch right now, but I'll be tied up the rest of the day. I will be in the chat room around 9 and I can talk to you about it then.

For any of those who want bullpen help, I have one of the top closers in the game available, Kazuhiro Sasaki. I have a young closer close to ready for the callup, so I'm thinking of dealing him for prospects. I can package, and could really use a catcher. Let me know if any of you have interest...

What with the incredible mediocrity of my current team, and the NL West in general, I've decided it's time to start building a respectable team from a little above the ground, up. To that end, the following players on my team are available.

    Paul LoDuca
    Keith Osik
    Greg Colbrunn
    Joe Randa
    Ramon E. Martinez
    Randy Winn
    Morgan Burkhart
    J.D. Drew
    Randy Wolf
    Darren Dreifort
    Steve Karsay
    Dave Veres
    Maximo Regalado

I didn't bother listing players who are OBVIOUSLY available, like Hiram Bocachica. I'm wanting good, close-to-ready prospects, for the most part. 3rd base and LF are the only positions for which I REALLY don't need a player. A 2B or SS would have to be extremely good to be better than what I've got, future-wise. All other positions, show me what you've got.

Ok, the Mariners post season antics have gone too far! 402 wins in 4 seasons and 3 playoff victories! These Astros of the sim baseball league must be broken up. Aaron Sele has already been booted. The following players are also available:

SP Scott Schoeneweis - 34-16 over last 2 seasons. Low ERA.
    SP Carlton Loewer - Pretty good ratings. SP 5 6 6 4 4
SP James Baldwin - Offseason this year, 46-26 4 previous seasons.
    SP Kevin Millwood - Just last season...2003 3.41 19 4 0 32 2 0 214.0 81 84 162
1B John Olerud - Short contract, good veteran. Offyear this season, but previous 3:
    2001 .302 21 103 157 583 176 51 0 107 1 1 102 94 .406 .497 SEA
    2002 .318 26 108 161 622 198 48 0 105 9 2 86 114 .401 .521 SEA
    2003 .315 26 123 162 612 193 53 0 111 2 2 100 91 .412 .529 SEA
2B Quilvio Veras - Contract only for 1 more year, .294 avg this season
SS Derek Jeter - One of the best SS's in baseball
    This season - 155 games 93 rbis 97 runs .292 avg, .382 obp
SS Carlos Guillen - Young with cheap, long contract
    LF/DH Gary Sheffield - Excellent player, period. This season - .371 avg, 33 HR's, 121 RBI's, 127 runs

lmk if interested in anyone. May want different things in return, depending on which guy(s) you want.
