Ah, so by that rationale, if a pig had a better personality, he would cease to be a filthy animal. Is that true?
Being poor <> starvation. I have never faced it myself, but my nanny when I was a baby in China did. She told my parents over half of the people in her village died due to crop failure in the 50s and some people ate dead corps to stay alive, the trees were all dead becuase all the barks were gone. We were really poor when we first came to the US, we lived off my dad's 450/month income for about a year for a family of four. But we were never close to starving, we ate lots of 25 cents per pound chickens.
I am saying the piglets and sheep later (when they become adults) get send to slaughter house pretty often, even the race horses often get that fate after they are done racing. It is just a tradition in most parts of the world you don't eat dogs, nothing more.
ah chicken, thank God I never got attached to the chickens on the farm cuz I love me some chicken wings and pork fried rice smothered in hot sauce. but yeah, if i never had a dog before, i probably wouldn't have a problem with it. as it is, i get physically sick even thinking about it
Hell Naw!!!!!!!! Yall aint eatin my dawgs, I'm tellin yall right now... Don't come near em or touch em... I got me some good ol dawgs that howl concerto's in the night....

there's poor, find food out of the trash can starving... and then there's the african civil war, you haven't eaten for a week and your last meal was a juicy locus, kinda starving. i read the feeling is worse than most physical tortures.
my friend's dad had dog meat once, and when he got home from the dinner he had it at, their family dog started growling and barking at him. it was like the dog could sense something.
It's more than just tradition...it's a value. A cultural value. Dogs are valued. We have history with dogs. I'm not trying to be a jackass here, but aren't we told to respect the values of cultures around the world? There are all sorts of nuances involving all cultures in the world. One in western culture, particulalry in the US, is that dogs can rise to the status of family member. That they have some intrinsic worth. The rest of the world may think that's wacky, but honestly I'm not sure I care.
its hard to fathom cuz dogs are domesticated to be social and loving companions of humans... but i'll try anything once
I wouldn't go looking around for it. It better be the best tasting chicken I've ever had, or I'd throw it up.
