he doesn't fit mainly, because............................he just doesn't have "it" to a lead a team........and yes like I stated your poll is flawed, even with that being the case the number of people who want him out is still pretty high.........
I like Mac, but yes, I have lost faith in him. I used to trust his jumper, now I groan when he shoots.....
you'll notice those people tend to make the most noise but that doesn't mean they encompass the majority by any stretch
No, not at all. He's a great player, but he can't shot 20 times a game every night. I think some nights he is just going to have give the rock up, He's numbers probably will go down, but I guarantee the team still will win.
because he is paid by 20 mil $$$. everytime you spend that money, you'd get something good in return. even TMAC does not fit, you can use him the other ways such as: 5 minutes defense, a little bit of slash, backup Head's job, cheerleading, picking up clothes, ......TMAC can make us better, no doubt.
Poor poll options. Should be a simple yes/no. And yes, I've lost faith in him. McGrady *can* be a phenomenal player that makes everyone around him better, and a Drexler/Pippen hybrid with such a complete game that he would make us a contender and himself a top 5 talent. But he doesn't make good on it. If it doesn't come easy for him, he shrinks. Evan
TMAC is an undeniable talent.. But i hate to see him jog up and down the floor.. I hate to see him launch long jumpshots. He has become pre-madona. Even when he passes it to Yao, he just stands around. When he's not in the game, the energy of the team is flowing. Even Yao, picks it up a step when people or hustling and giving there all... TRADE HIM PLEASE... i'd rather loose w/o him, than loose with him..
Someone might have said it already but . . . Golden State = a Tough game - One we not expect to win SOMEONE takes a powder on ANOTHER tough game Rocket River Faith or Fate?
Ok...let me see how I can explain this real simple like... I'm not sure if you're familiar with the way RPG's work, but let's say you have a character that wears a suit of "fire" armor. Then you buy one of the most expensive helmets in the game but it's an ice helmet, which doesn't mix well with the rest of your armor. It'll still make your defense stronger if you wear it, but not by as much as even a decent fire helmet would. I think I actually just made the dumbest analogy of my life, even though it makes sense. Spoiler I put on my robe and wizard hat...
I'm not sure I follow....because to me, if I put on a jacket that doesn't fit, it won't look good or make me better at anything. Will wearing shoes that don't fit make you a better runner? I don't thinks so. So again, how can you say T-mac doesn't fit and yet makes us a better team. If he makes us a better team, then by definition he fits.
TMac seems to be on the decline for the last two or three seasons. He' a top 10 player in the league if he's healthy, but he's constantly injured and he hasn't shown enough heart in games. He seems more willing to settle for quick jumpsots than driving to the hoop. i haven't lost faith in that he's a good player, but the Rockets need more than what they're getting from him.
I never thought I would say this, but I think he should be traded. The key, of course, is who the Rockets get in return. I agree with Magic, the Yao-TMac experiment has failed, time to go to plan B before Yao is done.
I think that third option should read "T-Mac is still adjusting to the system" rather than "The Rockets are still adjusting". The Rockets have done a pretty good job of switching to Adelman's offense. The question now is how will T-Mac fit in. I really think he needs to give up the rock and play off the ball more.
I think they should explore trade possibilities next year if he goes down again. Not because of attitude or playing style or anything. I think he's a great player and when healthy arguably a top 5 player. Sadly- though he just injured too much.
SMB, where is the factual evidence that T-Mac makes us better? When the Rockets have both stars on the floor, the best center in the league #'s go way down. If he is a playmaker, Yao's #s should IMPROVE not decline. Please don't even bother with the "well Tracy took over last season during the stretch when Yao was out with an injury." While that is true, he can't win with Yao and Yao can't win with T-Mac at a high enough level. It just isn't a good combo. This is the 4th year of the combination, and the Rockets overall record in those 4 years is 162-129 and 2 playoff series lost. I think that after this off-season, it will be a long enough trial to see that they don't mesh. Get players around Yao who are suited to be around Yao.
I say trade him Lou for Wade straight up. We need a slasher/leader, Wade in my eyes fits the bill and plus hurt or not he still plays.
