What time did we go to bed before the invention of electricity to allow for large scale lighting? Way too early, no doubt. I'm a night person. Glad I didn't live back then. Why did we evolve to need to wear clothes? Other than climate reasons... I guess people feel a little vulnerable, especially down there. Why culturally, women have longer hair than men? I don't know, but it seems that guys like women to have long hair. (So many women like to have theirs short for some reason... I don't know why, and guys don't like it as much anyway. Of course, that gives the advantage to those of us who may not be classically pretty, but can grow our hair. ) Why electricity can allow us to communicate on this forum? I don't know, but may the power never go out... Why our brains construct mental blocks? To build mental cities with. And roads, and towers, and skyscrapers... all built on the total denial of things in our lives. Why our universe is so vast, but we are just a grain of sand? Anyone read in the Hitchhiker's Guide books about the Total Perspective Vortex? Why cant I get remotely interested in any reality TV show, yet I get completely engrossed in sports, which is essentially another form of reality TV? Sports are real. (or at least mostly ) "Reality" is not. Why do most sequels to great novels and movies suck so bad? Because no one improves on the original idea, expands it, or moves beyond it. (with exceptions, of course, such as "The Empire Strikes Back") Usually they're just milking past glory for a few more bucks. Why does my head hair fall out yet my other hair is doing just fine? Gravity? Why do my toes curl in instead of out during happy endings? I don't understand this about "toes curling". Do everybody's? Mine don't...
That's pretty interesting... I'd think trapped in a cave I'd probably start sleeping alot more often just because of sheer boredom and everyday monotony... did he have stuff to do or what?
