If I was on a comp in prison, I wouldnt be on no clutchfans if you catch my drift. .A man needs some hand time.
Epochs ago my father and I visited my sister's Godfather in some prison outside Chicago. According to my dad he was busted with butt loads of cocaine in his basement. A bit of irony is that he taight me a very valuable lesson on the risks of gambling. I don't gamble on account of loosing $5 to him in a dice game. I was five.
I visited my step-grandfather (stepmother's father) while he was imprisoned for white collar crimes. After several years, though, he was finally cleared of all charges. Poor guy had some shady business partners and took the fall for it for a long time.
I grew up in Huntsville. My mom worked for the prison and we got free meat and cheese when the prison farms had excess. I also had my first auto loan through the TDC Credit Union. I bought a 1971 Ford PU for $800 and had to pay $50 a month... but I couldn't just mail it in. I had to go to the main Walls unit where the CU office was. It was behind the main gate and up some stairs that was separated from the prisoner dining hall by essentially chain link fence. When you went in and turned up the stairs to go to the CU office, all the prisoners would look at you and yell at you. In retrospect, I think you probably could mail it in, but I suspect Mom made me do that for the experience. Related, my 6th grade science teacher was one of the hostages during the Carrasco incident and one of the ladies that died was a friend of my mom's. http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,908631,00.html?iid=chix-sphere
Well, the lead singer for my band is currently in jail, but I don't think I'll be visiting him. And I did go to SHSU and the Music building is a block away from the Walls Unit. You can actually smell dirty laundry when you drive by.
With respect to the Yapese people I will leave out the rhyme- (I was there from 1986-1987) The Yapese had one prison/jail on the main island. They do not have prison bars They let the prisoners out at night to go party The reason is they can't get off the island And they usually come back by morning because the prison is free food and shelter If they try to escape they might meet quick punishment by machete or witch doctor in one of the villages depending on the crime Yap is a very unique place, just google it.
WWII vets and Continental employees (or former employees like me) are about the only people in the States that have heard of Micronesia. Yap, Chuuk, Pohnpei, Kosrae, Kwajelin, etc. I assume you took the Island hopper or flew military.
I'm bored, so: Gun Shots Chase & Crash The Arrest Sorry to add to any bad feelings you might have about this.
Good find. I like the fact that she has happy feet at the end. Honestly, who shoots at a cop, and what mind set do you have to have? She doesn't do that, she gets a couple years, tops.
Probably, but I don't really remember. I do recall seeing released prisoners walk out of the walls, go down to the clothing store and buy new duds (I guess the suit the prison gave you was pretty sad), then to the liquor store, and then to the bus station. Hard to believe you could get all that for $50.
