that last post relates to the Rockets in the fact that come this Fall, Houston sports teams are going to draw so much excitement ......ya, so seeing David Carr at the Mall today relates to seeing Rockets in the past because he was a #1 draft pick a few months ago & in 10 days the city of Houston is going to get another #1 pick that is humble & hungry.........Just like Hakeem!

Mitchell Wiggins and Lewis Lloyd - during the 1986 NBA West Finals vs. the Lakers. Chance meeting found them both to have a fun sense of humor and belief they could step up and play with anyone. I love that team.

Maybe the Rockets & Texans can fly the #1 pick of the NFL David Carr to New York on June 26th to great the #1 Pick of the NBA Yao Ming to the city of Houston........(Assuming Ming can make the trip to NYC).

I think that would be the best publicity/ photo opportunity for both Houston teams that are both trying to start off fresh.....

    Quick updates:
Carr was pretty much left alone, I even asked one of the guys working there if he thought that the guy was in fact David Carr, but he didn't know. I'll post the conversation in the texans/astros forum.

Baquii, this is gonna sound weird, but I worked at the same Kroger that same summer. Small world, huh?!?

desihooper, i can't find the post of your conversation with David Carr in the Texans forum but why go there when David Carr is clearly related to what we are talking about.......he was a #1 pick, yao is a #1 pick..........he was spotted at a mall during the summer before his first year with his team, etc....... his conversation will give us insight as to the mindframe of a #1 draft pick and the support they receive from the city of Houston.....
