Sam Cassel called me!! we used to own this candy store in Sharpstown mall, and one time he came in there, and my dad was there. he somehow got sam to call me up and say was up!! i saw him myself later that month and got his autograph. real cool dude. i actually saw him again in sharpstown a couple of times. met with Steve in Cheesecake factory. this was after the rockets game against raptors when vince was a rookie. it was the wierdest thing. we couldnt get any tickets to the game, so me, ROckets03, and others went to the galleria and watched the game from some bar while we waited for our table in cheesekake factory. well guess what, by the time we got our table, the game was over, steve had time to get dressed, and he still got a table there before us!!! but i wasnt too mad. he signed autograph for a few of us. the chick with him looked pissed off though. ROcket03 thinks it was chamika Holdsclaw. we didnt even say hi to her saw bull a few times in woodlands mall. Oh yeah, just met Rudy T a few days ago in PF Changs and took a picture with him. ROckets03 was supposed to post the picture for RockHead, but that lazy ass didnt do it
otis thorpe-my friends mom was the nurse to his girlfriend while she was pregnant. got a nice photo of he and i. the mans hands are huge...
cant tell you the exact date but i think it was sometime in mid apirl. it was philly vs houston. the 1st half was awsome the second half. the teams concentrated on winning. i dont want to see that. tina thompson was there. i heard lonnie baxter and jaun dixon were both there, but i never saw either of them. before the game there was this i say about 8 year old who was just draining 3s and he had amazing dribbles. that was one of the most amazing things ive ever seen, and dude was 8
Don't believe ANY of these people...they don't have pics to back up their stories... Oh yeah, and I met Sam Cassell when I was working at the Dog Track. Of course, I'M telling the truth
My dad talked to Olajuwan before. He used to work with M&M mars, and Hakeem was the spokes person for them. He came down one time to talk to all the workers, and my dad forgot to bring a baskeball, so he got Olajuwan to sign a uncle ben's box. amazing
I met Rodrick Rhodes at the Reggae Cafe on Westheimer...this was during the lockout shortened season...he was eating, so I just said hi and didn't bother trying to talk to him much.
I met the Bull at aTomball night. It was great. In my opinion, he is one of the all time fan-favorites of houston. He probably has about 2/3 the amount of fans as the dream.
I met Matt Maloney once at this bar on Richmond. He was using the urinal next to me then looked over and said that I had a nice watch. Great guy.
Played 1 on 1 against Calvin Murphy about 15 years ago at the South Central YMCA and he beat me 7-4 (I'm not sure how hard he was trying). Got Clyde Drexler to sign a Rockets jersey about 6-7 yrs ago at an Academy signing. (yellow and red one) Was at 24 Hr Fitness in SugarLand (on Hwy 90) about 4yrs ago and saw the biggest guy I'd ever seen bench pressing across the room. Walked over and it was Shaq wearing a Rockets practice jersey. I guess he was in town in the summer as he had a girlfriend who lived in Rosenburg. Houston Native
...I've met with Hakeem over a hundred times, cause he went to my mosque (the one over on Synott)...i remember when i was in sunday school one time in 1990 (i was only 5 years old) and everyone was saying "Hakeem's here....Hakeem's here"....too bad i didn't know who hakeem was...oh yea, and hakeem also lives in my neighborhood (or used to live....his family still lives there during the NBA season, and he's back for the summer cause my dad saw him at the mosque last week)... ...I met Othella Harrington last Saturday at PF Chang's... ...I met Kenny Smith at first colony mall (am i the only one that remembers that kenny smith sports store at fcm...haha)...well he was always there... ...I met Robert Horry, Cuttino Mobley, Steve Francis, and Bryce Drew all on the SAME day at Park Place Mercedes...the weird thing is that i saw them at different times of the day there, so they all were alone (except for steve and cuttino...there's always together)... ...I met Rudy at Saks Fifth at the galleria... ...I met Kevin Willis at Saks too... ...I met Larry Smith (assistant coach) at the Toys R Us in First Colony... ...I met Barkley a couple of years ago at the Q Club in Sugar Land... ...I met Brent Price and Keith Jones (trainer) at Chick-fil-a on seperate occasions...

Let's see: Hakeem Olajuwon: Met him quite a few times at the downtown main mosque. Got pictures, autographed cards and basketballs. Robert Horry:Kinko's or Post Office, can't remember which. Back in 94. Steve Francis: I sort of met him when our basketball team went to the westside tennis club but he gave a little speech, and walked out on the people standing there for autographs. We went to the little window between the court and the lockeroom and inside he was with Cuttino swinging around in chairs and watching TV. Van Chancellor: Not really a Rockets player, but along the same lines. Came on my dad's radio show once. Laphonso Ellis: The T-Wolves were in town and he was at the same little speech gathering at the Westside Tennis Club as Steve except he signed autographs. Good guy.
i met Hakeem's backyard one hot summer day 5-6 years ago. My friend lived in his Sugarland subdivision off of 59, and we noticed that his neighbor's were building a new house so we had the freedom to walk the perimeter of his house without worries of being caught. We brought fishing poles, and his backyard fence was not that hard to manuever around. I actually caught a decent catfish right as I snuck over to his property and then I took a break and jumped on his trampoline (one jump) and then I got scared out of my mind and ran back to the neighbors yard. On a seperate occassion we also stalked him one night after a Rockets home game, and he pulled up to his automatic gate opener and then kept on driving cause he knew we were freaks and then we chased him down the road in our car. We lost him and then got stuck in the ditch trying to do a quick u-turn. We made it out and then decided to grab some of his mail in the mailbox as a souvenir, then we called it a night!
I met Kenny Smith once at the store he used to have here in Houston, which sadly is not open anymore because it wasn't that good. He was a really nice guy and complemented me on my jacket and sold me a cool Chicago Bears long sleeve tee which I still have.
