Have you ever competed against professional athletes in their sport?

Played basketball against former Rocket John Lucas.
Played football for a couple of plays with former Buffalo Bill Thurman Thomas.
I got into a shoving match with former Denver Bronco Allen Aldridge (does that count? lol).

 

I haven't played against anyone although I've met Hakeem a couple of times. I've wanted to ask him to shoot a couple of balls with me.

I think I can beat Shaq at a game of horse.. if there were no dunking involved.

 

Not sure if it's considered a sport, but I played poker with Daniel Negreanu and Scotty Nguyen (1998 WSOP champion).

 

Awesome.

 

I swam in a pool (and a lake) with an Olympic Gold Medalist...drunk.

 

Played against Kenny Smith after he was a pro......Back in 1998 or so.

 

Not sure if it counts, but I've had sex with several p*rn stars.

 

I was a ball boy for a Borg / Laver match. Does that count?

 

i've played basketball with some nba'ers who were rookies/college guys over at ucla during the summer they play there all the time. i got picked up once as the 10th man cuz i was the only other guy in the gym that was willing to play.

my reward?

having to guard the shortest guy on their team, Earl Watson.

luckily for me they balance the team out so we had taller players across the board outside of myself, chris wilcox was on our team and i was actually able to throw a lob to him. my only highlight of the night, unless you consider getting burnt left and right off the dribble.

 

Played several pickup games with Aaron Brooks while at UO.

I played against John Lackey (Grayson CC) and Aubrey Huff (Vernon Regional JC) while I was at Brookhaven CC.

 

Oh, and I played H-O-R-S-E against Calvin Murphy at Sharpstown Mall in 1990. He won.

I played against Terrance Morris at LA Fitness.

 

played vs. some korean pro in RTS, and european pro in FPS for online pc gaming.........

 

LOL. This is pretty funny...Now that you mention it, one time I eliminated Lee Watkinson (final table of this years' WSOP main event) from a $30 Sit and Go on Full Tilt Poker. I've also eliminated Jesus Ferguson from a $10 7 Card Stud hi/lo tournament on Full Tilt. They even sent me a t-shirt in the mail (it's really ugly) for eliminating Ferguson. I met Scotty Nguyen in person at a casino in Oklahoma one time.

 

Interesting fact about John Lucas III.

He actually played some tennis for awhile. His dad actually coached at Westside Tennis Club for $100 bucks an hr (which is alot considering he had no background). JLIII was actually decent but not good enough to get ranked in Texas.
