I have not been in a real fight since high school, but playing basketball on Thursday I had to be seperated from the hot head at the gym. He could not keep up with me, and I kept back cutting on him when he turned his head, he was like, that is it...and no more for you...and I kept playing....then he started getting kind of physical, so I started running him around screens telling him to "keep up" or die trying...and he was getting more and more mad. He started really banging, and I turned to him, and tossed him backwards, and told him if he can't keep up to just go home. He came at me, and people separated us.....I was ashamed....I am 39 years old, and don't have time for hot heads that can't keep up, however, I could have just kept scoring on him and not taunted him. Glad my 2 sons weren't there to see it. DD
Being one f the larger guys in my class, I was often a target for some guy trying to live up to a twisted idea of manhood. I actually walked away from 3 or 4 but sometimes you just have to fight. The last one was 10th grade and it was scary. I remember the scenes before and after the fight but nothing during... and I wasn't even drinking. I kind of "woke up" to my friend telling me how I had decimated this guy who was swinging a belt buckle at me (?). After that, I made it a point to not lose control like that again and so far have been able to do so. We'll see if it truly lasts when my daughters reach the teenage years and bring home some smart-ass punk.
I've been in plenty of fist fights but the one that will always stick out in my head was when I beat up this white guy for calling me a zebra (I'm biracial) and then him and 4 of his friends jumped me behind a Chinese restaurant about 3 months later while following me home from the mall. It was sad.
The last fight I was in was about 5 years ago, with my best friend. We were 19 or 20 at the time and were real competitive everytime we played b-ball. He got mad at me for fouling him hard or something and started talking alot of crap. All that happened is he charged at me and I just started swinging on the top/back of his head until he went down. The whole thing lasted about 3 minutes and I felt really bad afterwards. Luckily neither one of us were really hurt and we laugh about it now.
I never have, but my roommate and his friend got into one last night with our neighbors right outside my bedroom window. He would up with a busted lip, a swollen face, and a possible broken nose. His friend lost a tooth. I'm not sure how bad the other dudes wound up, but it sounds like everyone's kissed and made up already...
I ended up really, really lucky as far as fighting goes in my life. I was only ever in one real fight, which lasted all of ten seconds back in the freakin' fifth grade. I won, and amazingly the reputation I got from that one fight lasted me clear through high school. Honestly, I didn't really understand it. I'm tall-ish, but pretty skinny and relatively slow. I didn't even think this fight was that impressive. Basically, this guy named Eli was a total ass. He was the always-in-trouble, practically lived in the school office type you get in gradeschool. No one liked him. However, he had probably 2 inches on me, and probably 10-15 pounds. I'd say he was stronger than me, and our speed was probably about equal. The source of his particular piss-offedness that day was his soccer team had just gotten it's collective ass handed to it when we played during lunch hour (I was on the opposite team). He claimed that we played dirty (okay, so we were physical, but it's frickin' soccer at recess. Who cares?). So he's complaining while we're standing around waiting to get into our once-a-week computer class, and I tell him that we won by about 5 goals anyway, so what exactly was he whining about? So he comes back with something to the effect of "shut the hell up, I'm gonna kick your ass." He starts walking towards me with his fists clenched. I might suck at describing this, but trust me when I say it was a very simple maneuver. I take a swing at him with my right and take a large step in with my right foot. I intentionally swing kinda slowly and a bit off to my left, hoping he'll duck to my right. Luckily for me, that's exactly what he did. This time very quickly, I swing both my left arm and foot counter-clocklwise, landing a really hard elbow to the face. While his face was knocked back, I continued the motion with my right leg, kicking the back of both his legs and landing him on his back. He was done. I had the second best GPA at my gradeschool and was a major teacher's pet, so getting in one fight with the class ******* not surprisingly didn't get me in as much trouble as it should have. In fact, I pretty much got a slap on the wrist and that was it. What I don't understand is how winning one fight in the fifth grade gave me the reputation it did. As I said it was very short, and if the guy had seen what I was doing with my first swing, I really believe I would've been the one who got beat. I had never instigated one fight, and I never have since. All kinds of people got majorly pissed at me in high school because I played such physical, grabby defense in basketball, but none of them ever dared to come at me. The whole thing still makes me laugh to this day... mostly because nine out of ten guys could probably kick my ass.
i havent but my gf has to be one of the ready to fight people i know...especially if she has been drinking. it kind of makes me laugh when i think about it. like if i am not around her and she is out drinking with her friends then she will have her little diva attitude and there are other girls like that too. but instead of just talking **** back and forth she will start popping them in the face or grab a bottle and break it over their head. her mom was the same way growing up but she calmed down once she had her kids i think and her little brother is that way too. if they think someone is looking at them crazy then they'll just say something like "you got a problem?" and if the person keeps talking mess then they will just pop them.
Man, that really really sucks. Sure makes me glad that one guy that I got in a fight with didn't hold grudges very long...
Oh and to make matters worse, my mom made me invite this assclown to my birthday party 2 weeks later, to apologize to him. All of my friends sat around waiting for round 2 to begin... but my parents forced me to make up with the punk. i still can't believe he ate my cake!
In high school, after a fight , the other guy came back with an adult. The adult held my arms behind my back while the boy hit me, on the head, with a rock ... blood was dripping down my face and shirt . I had some 10 stitches that day and still have the scar.
We had an incident at a church basketball game, which get a little crazy. But this was SEVERAL years ago, we've all mellowed out a bit. We were KILLING this team, and our team was pretty much known in the area to dominate...we were up by like 35 as the third quarter was winding down, and technically I felt kind of bad for the other team because we had three college basketball players living in our area. But we were pretty good sports about it most of the time...anyways, I threw an alley-oop to one of them and he dunked it down with like two seconds in the quarter, and one of their team took offense. At the quarter break, my friend the dunker went out to get a drink, and this dude grabbed him around the throat from behind and started strangling him. Our whole team jumped on the guy and we all just started pummeling him, and his own team didn't even know what was going on so they all kinda stood there. The ref called the game there and kicked us out of the building. So we left and it turned into a shouting match in the parking lot. When my friend the dunker finally decided to leave, he got in his car. But the strangler got in his car and started chasing him. We all had cell phones and some of us had guns. We weren't gonna SHOOT the kid, just scare him a bit. So we called my friend the dunker and told him to drive up this canyon, and he did and we all met up there, almost all of our team against the strangler and his one friend. When kids pulled out guns the kid started backtracking, and crying and stuff. My buddy made him kiss his foot and then kicked him in the face, but by this time we were pretty bored with the whole ordeal so we muttered some empty threats and got in our cars and left. Nobody tried to fight our team again...ahhh, church basketball.
Dude - that was really p***y of you to do that. Why not just fight him one on one like a man without guns? Your proud of the fact you had a bunch of guns pointed at him, kicked him in the head and that he started to cry? I think you would wet your pants if someone pointed a gun at you. Fight like men, with your fists. Just my 2 cents.
I'm surprised no one's 'fessed up to any barfights. I may not be the biggest guy around, but I'm mean. Nothing like getting drug out of a bar on your heels as the band plays LA Woman. Once I was in two barfights in one night! What an idiot. I'm surprised I'm still alive sometimes when I look back on the stupidity I've been involved in. I certainly hope those things are firmly in the past.
slc: just so i get this straight....you're playing at a highschool basketball game...and you just happen to be packing heat???? I'm glad i'm not you.
well ive been in half a fight. this one kid was pushing me from behind during a basketball game, and i kept telling him to stop. after a while, i told him 'stop dude or i'll kick your ass i'm not joking'. then i turned around to pay attention to the play that was going on and he hit me in the back of the head. it didnt really hurt, but i was majorly pissed, so i turned around and punched him in the face. it connected, he went down and i guess i broke his nose (oops...). it was one punch and then down, not really a fight fight. the only other close encounter ive had was when this kid was making fun of me back in 7th or 8th grade. he was just a total ass to me and after awhile, i challenged him to a fight, right there in front of his friends. im not sure if i couldve taken him(it would have been interesting), but i find that most people will not want to fight if you challenge them. he lost that cocky smile on his face, muttered 'dude, i was just joking and you want to fight?' and walked away. he didnt bother me anymore. i think people in general want to avoid fights, but im just a hot head.
I've got into a few fights. My favorite one was an incident at a club. I was making fun of some buff as macho body builder with a small thing type alphamale jerkoff wannabe. So I'm at the bar makin fun of him, cuz he's trying to dance with my friend and i'm laughing with my boys cuz she's shuttin him down and he walks over and asks me if i got a problem. The music is blaring and i hear him clearly, but i ask him to repeat. He leans over and I clocked him across the face and punched him in the throat. I threw a cross his jaw and he fell to the ground. After that, I ran like a girl so i didn't get arrested or pummelled by his boys. Few lesson in the way of the fist. Always throw the first punch. Go for the jaw, nose or, throat. If all else fails bite and pull hair, and nut shots work. "All is fair in love and war."
i think you should say from what age something is a fight? when people are young (lets say before they turn 13) alot of kids fight, but those aren't dangerous, and don't mean anything. but when people get older the fights mean more and people are smarter. if you say that a fight is a real fight after you turn 13 i have never fought. before that 1 time
I was actually thinking about this yesterday...I got into a fight in the 10th grade, I just beat the crap out of the guy for messing with me after football practice and I just kept hitting and hitting him and he never swung back... Another time I confronted this guy who was talking crap about me and when I finally saw him, he said he was sorry...
