This was really helpful because that was my main concern. I hate wearing undershirts with my casual button ups but still do because I don't want to ruin them. Thanks. Repped.
All I meant was that fashion is visible. An invisible undershirt is not part of fashion. There are different kinds of undershirts that allow for more buttons open as well but I guess I never look to show off chest so I don't have to worry? In any event, I guess I took your "no undershirts, ever" as too literal if you only meant visible and with one kind of shirt. I guess I don't see where you would sweat that much more because of a thin undershirt that would counter a. The visible sweat on your shirt and b. the extra crap being absorbed by your shirt. An undershirt is supposed to absorb all of that and even if you sweat so much that it went through the undershirt to your shirt the materials have already been mostly filtered. I am not a big sweat guy but apparently some people have trouble with stains. Of course dry cleaning is not a cure all safe solution nor is it really dry. It simply relies on solvent action as opposed to detergent. Still can damage your clothes so over reliance or asking for extra attention on stains can cause problems. I have not worn anti-perspiration for probably 15 years but not for fear of Alzheimer's or cancer as I feel those rumors have been effectively debunked.
I wonder if everyone who read those Cracked articles or saw the hunting pictures remembers Roosevelt had like 3 centuries of family money and was basically just doing Outward Bound until the next cabinet or police chief appointment.
Anyone who's shopped in Europe will notice that Polo's sizes are just too broad. European sizes are better if you don't want your shirts too loose or tight.
What is this 1998? Polo, Tommy and Nautica were all played out a long ass time ago. Perhaps you still use AOL for your internet on your 28.8 dial up?
Polo's been around since the '70s and might have single-handedly facilitated the business casual movement. It was already a respectable, established fashion label in larger, northern cities; their mass retail offerings are really just franchising and brand exploitation for middle class, middle American retailers.
ya i noticed that i used to wear white undershirts under scrubs and noticed the yellowish stain. never knew this was the reason. "Clothing stains When mixed with sweat, aluminium zirconium tetrachlorohydrex gly is known to stain clothing with a yellowish tint.[2] It can also cause a stiffening of the affected areas of clothing. These stains can be removed with the application of vinegar or a mild bleach. If excessive amounts of aluminium zirconium tetrachlorohydrex gly mixed with sweat come in contact with a material, bleach marks may develop." I have been using this old spice one (not a gel or the white powdery stuff) and it has been good to my clothes so far. p.s. DON'T SHOW YOUR UNDERSHIRT. i don't care if you wear them. i used to be that guy who thought undershirts were cool if they showed through. my code: v-necks under dress shirts and a-shirt under polos if needed.
He addressed that saying he doesn't wear crew necks. Undershirts wick away sweat and keep your shirt from being saturated. I've never bought a Polo but I have a pair of purple label trousers.
Right, but my initial comment was in reference to wearing undershirts with casual button ups, where it's difficult to hide the undershirt.
Anyone know of a brand of "polo style" shirts that run longer? My problem is that if I find a shirt that is long enough for me, it is way too baggy. Need to find something that is a slimmer fit but still long enough for me (I'm 6'5"). Thanks.
Thanks for that incredibly r****ded summation of a great american hero. Fortunately his knowledge of history was a bit greater than yours.
The guy had extensive family money which allowed him to take a lot of personal excursions; some of which were recklessly undertaken and one of which cost lives. He also had an inordinate number of high level political appointments in a state and city which his family owned a great deal of land for a very, very long time. Do you have the energy and intellect to rebut those facts and perhaps offset whatever personal wretchedness of yours prompted that dated slur?
I agree, I'm glad we don't have to wear a suit and tie into the office like it's the 70's or 80's. I just throw on a Polo, spray down some wrinkle release, and head in to the office. Screw ironing, "Ain't nobody got time for that!"
