Clint Capela is a bench player. His numbers are lies. He can average 13-12 and 2 blocks, but I feel he is ineffective as a rim protector in this league and only gets rebounds because who else will?
Capela's a bench player? Not on this freakin' team. That was a lousy post, dude. Not only is he a starter on the Rocks and deservingly so, Clint is quickly developing into one of the best young 5's in the NBA. It's a surprise to me, sure, but that's one of the fun things about the league. The surprises, particularly when it's a cat on your team. Something to remember about Clint. He's Swiss. The Swiss have a HARD working culture. A tiny country high in the mountains of Central Europe that's one of the wealthiest countries in the world because they ARE so hard working. Nice job, Daryl!
This might explain why when someone attack the rim,he stays neutral .. but yes he has been impressive so far
Clint is doing great. I'm more worried about our offensive execution. I expect D'Antoni will have things going in the right direction in short order.
I agree with you about the Clint Capela part. Just not the Swiss part. Just because you are Swiss does not mean you hard working. Let's not generalize a whole country here.
I've been there several times, but I'm not going to get into a discussion about the Swiss here. Just google the country and find out for yourself. What they've accomplished is really quite amazing. Adding to that opinion, what Clint is doing is rather amazing as well. Amazing to me, anyway, considering what I've expected from the guy. Not a hell of a lot!
Hard working is a subjective term. Number of hours worked is a measurable stat. In all studies, Americans work more hours than the Swiss. As Rockets fan, we have to follow analytics LOL. Also you forgot to mention he is Congo and Angolan descent. No idea how many hours they work there in a week.
Clint is still developing for sure. His positioning on defense is still a bit off, but he is improving every single night. Not a star and probably never will be, but he can be a top 15 C that fits James Harden like a stripper.
If the Swiss are such hard workers, how come they don't fix all the holes in their cheese? Clint needs to adopt AMERICAN work ethics or go back home, make some watches and hoard Nazi gold for a living instead.
I'm a little hard on Clint. He seems to do well with bigs and holding his own guy, but I still don't see him as a rim protector.
