The Rockets have destroyed pretty easy / injured opponents. We'll see them tested in December. Nonetheless, I haven't felt this good about the team since they were obliterating people during the first 10 games of the 22 game win streak (pre Yao injury). These guys look dominant this year. HYPEEEED
I think we can’t answer this question until Houston ( at least ) beats Golden State in a Playoff round.
I think...almost? Two MVP level players...Check All-star caliber complimentary...Check A guy that comes off the bench that is basically a starter on most teams...Check 2nd round pick that becomes an all-star....Well that is what we are missing right? Depends on Clint. He has to make that Draymond Green progression. He's on the right track.
From 538 So the Rockets have reached Golden State's messing around and don't give a damn about regular season level. But the problem is once the Warriors starts caring in the playoffs and not settle for mediocre shots they have another gear which we can't match.
1. seemed like we matched it just fine during the season opener - golden state wasn't messing around 2. golden state takes stupid threes in the playoffs too. see klay thompson 2016 finals game 7
the warriors have more PLAYOFF talent than we do. sure we look great now, but come playoff time how much can we depend on ryno, ariza, and EGO to put the ball in the basket ? we really could use one more legit star on this team.
Our offensive efficiency is actually better once garbage time is taken out, which is a huge boom for GS as the end of their bench is filled with ring chasing vets; while ours is filled with BB, Demetrius, Troy, and Zhou. Rox: 116.3 GS: 114.6 https://www.cleaningtheglass.com/stats/league/fourfactors
That was the game where Mark Jackson had his team start fouling to stop the Rockets from breaking the 3 point record at the end of the game.
This is a good piece of information however it still doesn't negate the fact that the Warriors have more untapped potential
no, we’re still not quite on their level, but the gap isn’t as huge as people think top 2 offense and a potential top 5 defense...the only other team that can do that is GS, and we only have 2 stars while they have 4 smh, GS is so lucky that KD became a free agent at the same time that a major cap spike was happening...it would be like us adding PG13 in free agency while losing no one of real importance and trotting out a roster like this... CP3 Harden/Gordon PG/Moute Ryno/Tucker Capela/Nene
