it annoyed me last summer during the confederations cup, but now I'm used to it and it doesn't bother me. Stop whining.

Vuvuzelas look like a simplified version of a Chinese instrument:

Someone should invent a vuvuzelas mute that goes in the end like a trumpets does...and pass them out at the venues.

What they should do is, at halftime, make an announcement that every vuvuzela was contaminated after some guy urinated all over the boxes they came in.

They bothered me at first, but I think I began to tune them out. I still wouldn't mind just banning them anyways.

I dont think they are bad, why is it a problem? I watch soccer to see the plays, I dont care about the sound of that, if they want to do it, its ok.

france played awful, but now they are making excuses about the sound of the crowd? come on!

And the goalie of RSA said it wasnt loud, and needs to get louder for the next game of RSA

I kind of like them, it's kind of a post apocalyptic drone, not bad at all.

If I start hearing these at Toyota Center 41 times a year, I might have to blow my brains out.

this reminds me of phil jackson reprimanding chris rock. also of lbj and the rest of the losing team usa segregating themselves from the other teams. this isnt golf. deal with it. esp. if it's the host country's culture.

I'm getting annoyed by all the complaining about the vuvuzellas. In the Netherlands they cannot stop talking about it. Just ignore them. i do not think they are so bad. Maybe they can be annoying for the players, but for us fans they are not that bad.

Maybe they are worse in the US broadcasts then in the Netherlands, but people should just stop complaining.

I see the racists have come out in this thread. The vuvuzela has been part of African tradition for 5000 years and is the national sound of South Africa. How about I come to your dick show and ban Metallica?

I'm thinking about getting 20 of these and bringing them to Texans games next season.

LOL, I heard this sound for years, from watching international rugby matches, but was never bothered enough to find out what the actual sound was.

If there's one crowd noise that's worth complaining about. It's the French and their loud obnoxious shrieking whistle they do.

How is it racist? If some foreigner came in and said "that wave thing you people do at baseball games is so stupid" I'd agree with them and move on.
