They just want him to match up better with NBA sized bigs and it seems like he is working hard. Maybe he could teach Jordan Hill a thing or two...
Morey should have bought a 2nd pick and got this dude. I see huge potential from him, something along the lines of Marcus Camby or a less athletic Tyson Chandler. I would be supremely pissed off if he turns into the next Camby. His potentional is far better than Hill's. A future Whiteside/Patterson PF-C combo would have been insane.
We've already gone this topic a million times already. Nobody was willing to give DM a 2nd round pick for cash. The team just gave Brad Miller 5M, Lowry 5M and Scola 9M to play this season. I'm sure they wouldn't have balked at paying some random team 3M for a pick if it was avalable.
From Kings media day... http://pix.kingsconnect.com/page/3 The kid is a stringbean and could easily put on 20 lbs without it even showing up much.
I'm not a professional athlete, but I put on 25 lbs of muscle in 7 months with numerous types of protein, cycling off and on with creatine and a good training regimine. I'm also only 5'9. You are a hard gainer. There are plenty of resources online that would show you how to put on muscle.
morey said in an interview, after the draft, he was trying to buy 2nd round picks, but everyone was valuing them higher than just cash.
Might this be a bit of gut he's sporting here (i used that link in the Landry thread...if it matters)
Those are his arms and he is leaning back. The other picture is about 2 weeks prior to media day and shows no gut. The weight gain seems to be an exaggeration. If the Kings know how to put 25 lbs on people in 2 months, then the IFBB needs to find out their secret.
because he has no offensive game (can't shoot, can't pass) and he isn't a great rebounder. his man d isn't exactly good either, but he is a nice weakside shot blocker. he is clearly motivated to get to nba size, but who knows if he will ever have a nba mind.

Damn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There is no way from summer league to now, that he can be that big and buff that fast without some help from steroids.
So much for all those doubts about him not being strong enough to guard centers. Does increase injury risk though.
He's not all that big. Muscle size doesn't equal strength, anyway. Gaining as much strength as possible, without putting on weight would be better for an athlete or basketball player. It's the difference between muscles for strength(powerlifting) and muscles for show(bodybuilding).
