This happens all the time, when you flip your roster so much, I don't think we know how to properly evaluate NBA talent - it seems we let it go, then try to get it back later.... Why are some of you guys suggesting that "we" let him go, as if we had some extended personal look. He had a cup of coffee with the Vipers. When a true 7 footer can't even find a single job in the NBA, it's clear that he must have been terrible at the time. He was out of the entire freaking league for 2 full seasons, everybody missed. Singling out the Rockets front office makes no sense.
Because it's so much more fun to b**** and moan and act like a wizard who saw this coming the whole time. I had no idea who whiteside was until this week and didn't even know he had anything to do with this franchise ever. The whole league passed over him many many many times. This has nothing to do with rockets talent evaluation.
Seriously. Lowry we traded to get Harden and we had a better player as a backup. And he was unhappy. Brooks. Had his best years with us. P pat. We needed capspace to sign howard. And he did not improve that much after he left. Dragic. You have a point. Whiteside. Lets see how he plays next year. Many teams did not think he was good enough. He flipped a switch good for him. But i would not use him as an example of our fo failing.
LeBron needs to see that doctor in miami that whiteside when to go see, if obvious this dude is on something...
I remember there was somebody on Clutchfans two (or three?) years ago adamantly insisting that Whiteside was the big that everybody in the league was overlooking. Wish I knew who that was so I could give him some props.
